Where/how can I shill my sub on saidit? How much shilling is too much?

I wanna get some users for https://saidit.net/s/MonsterGirlGeneral/ and been thinking how to do that. So figured I'll just ask what people think is a good strategy/acceptable.

I posted a bona fide Star Trek girl and she wasn't "monster" enough. Oh, and I'm like the only other user that has posted on your sub other than you and what do you do? Diss me.

man you're salty. Your post was just a photo of a woman in glittery clothes with literally nothing non-human about her, not even ears or skin colour. Doesn't belong in the sub. Just because its empty doesn't mean I'll allow random stuff.

I think because it is on s/all people can see everything so don't think to subscribe

Maybe put a comment under the posts asking people to subscribe.

Oh right, saidit is so small my posts can even be seen on s/all... didn't consider it. Tho I'm not really looking to inflate the subscriber number, but rather finding people who'd want to contribute too.

My advice is to advertize it outside of Saidit. On Reddit, for example. The Saidit userbase isn't too big, and there are especially few people who'd be interested in a sub like that, I presume.

Yeah, planning on doing that too, I just want to first find all the users already on saidit. Just because I made the sub doesn't mean everyone knows about it, so it'd need at least a little advertising. I think I'll go to places like s/anime and post stuff there.

It's a general problem with Saidit: all new subs would require individual advertising, but the site isn't big enough for that to be worth the trouble. There's this page with new subs; your sub has already gained visibility there. I wonder how many people even browse that page, though. You can advertize it on /s/DiscoverSaidit for an extra boost. (I didn't mention that sub in the first place because it only has 100 subscribers. For it to be effective, I'd have to advertize that sub, but I don't think it's worth the trouble. It's better than nothing, though.)

that sub sounds like a good idea, thanks. I was actually thinking of making one like that myself. I think it IS worth advertising, will make saidit more interconnected and let people grow their subs easier.

Tell your monster girl appreciating community about your sub. Start with your friends from within the community and grow from there.

Monster girls are a niche topic, and you may find disinterested audiences in general spaces.

good advice, if only I had any online friends. The only communities I know of are 1 subreddit and maybe 2 places on 4chan. It kinda feels like I'm building a community from scratch. But I will try advertising in the few existing spaces.
