I'm full carnivore. Only animal products. Mainly duck, lamb and chicken.

I just fried some chicken for a chicken salad. Usually the meal revolves around some kind of meat.

Rice and beans is tasty. You could get creative and make a "bolinho de arroz" which is essentially fried rice (it's very good). I can't find a good recipe online in english, though.

All I have is rice and beans but I'm getting tired of it.

Because you're poor and can't afford anything else ☹️ or because you have no imagination? 😀

Can you cook? Then there are a million things you can make. How much effort do you want to put into it? I'm going to assume "no effort" 😀

If you can't cook, here are some things even my dad can make. Some of them are dirt cheap. Some might cost a bit.

  • Frozen veges. Stick 'em in the microwave, when they're cooked drizzle with olive oil, black pepper to taste, or just plain. Or grate some cheese over them, back in the microwave for 30 seconds to melt the cheese.

  • Boil pasta, drizzle a bit of olive oil on it, sprinkle grated cheese over it, some chilli or black pepper to taste. If you don't mind being anti-social for a day or two, peel some fresh garlic, crush it fine, mix in with the pasta. (Raw garlic might be too strong for some people's stomach, I used to eat it when I was in my early twenties but by my late twenties I had to give up raw garlic because my guts started complaining. I've never stopped missing it.)

  • Sandwiches. Even little kids can make a sandwich. Bread, sliced tomato, cheese, ham or lunch meat, lettuce. Open a tin of sliced beetroot if you can get it, a slice of beetroot in a sandwich is magic. Or grate some fresh carrot.

  • Steamed potatoes. I love them plain, with absolutely nothing on them, but you can put ketchup or mayo on them, or black pepper if you like.

  • Make your own sashimi (raw fish). Buy a piece of nice tuna or salmon from a good fish shop, get a sharp non-serrated knife, slice it into small pieces, eat with soy sauce or wasabi or mayo, or just plain with nothing at all. Yum. When you buy, tell them you will be eating it raw, ask if it is okay for sushi. If they look confused or have no clue, then assume its shitty quality and you are better off grilling it.

  • Grilled cheese sandwich. Bread, sliced cheese over the bread, under the grill until the cheese melts. Or use the microwave if you must, but the bread will go a bit soggy instead of toasted.

  • Boiled eggs. Eat as they are, or add mayo, black pepper to taste. Or fry them, put them on toast, forget the mayo. Eggs are binding, so you might want to limit yourself to one or three a week, or else eat plenty of fibre.

  • Lentils. Roman gladiators were vege and lived on lentils, so don't think they're just for hippies. If you can cook beans, you can cook lentils.
