Edit: there were a lot of links involved, it's not trivial to dig them out from all the other stuff I've read, u/canbot makes an excellent point that the validity of what you read with regard to highly classified military systems is suspect. I couldn't find video that proved to me Russia's hypersonic missiles actually worked.
