I only glanced through the comments but I see at least 2 comments from you calling others stupid/idiotic as well as some ad hominem. That being said, the person you were talking to was also conversing in the lower tiers of the POD so I don't think that should result in a ban personally. You weren't really dragging the conversion down the pyramid, it was already in the gutters to start with.

Thanks for addressing the prompt. The terms stupid and idiotic were directed only at comments, not to the user. My point in all responses is the same: one can say whatever they want about a comment, but not about the user. Responses to me by one user were only personal attacks, without any discussion of the topic. It's continued for over 14 months. Thus - if anyone wants to discuss Saidit and the POD, and the way to keep users (in general), this is a central problem on Saidit that's the reason for not keeping users: allow any comments about comments, but not comments that attack users (which is bottom POD).

A double-standard. Normal visitors face personal attacks from Saiditors constantly, and when there is a normal person response to the abusive Saiditors, mods are critical of the normal folks, without having any interest in the torrent of abuses - mainly personal insults - from a handful of bad faith mentally ill assholes. You, AXXA, are one of the people my question is directed to, because you - I thought - understood the problems. A potential solution is to use the Bible for guidance and focus on the sin, rather than the sinner (that mods address personal insults, but not criticisms of comments). This I think is a way forward, and yet I see that no one seems to understand this or care about it, or both. Saidit won't grow because of it.

You have every right to defend yourself from the attacks of others, even if that defense is with the use of force to repel the other.

You do NOT have the right to attack others. (This is allowed at Saidit, but only for some.)
