Nothing. I'm not sure why people bother to celebrate the New Year when every year is the same depressing shit.

My God, man. People may choose to live depressing lives of wage slavery, but at least they're encouraged to celebrate arbitrary numbers in our orbit tracking system.

It's an excuse to stick to it when any day is just as good to start changing. It makes milestones and anniversaries easy.
