To be clear, a browser sends a line of text of what site it is coming from called a "referrer", and it does this even if it loads a simple pic (jpg,png) from the outside site. Not all browsers do it, but most big ones do. The info sent can include everything on your URL from saidit so they would know what "sub" you were viewing at the time. And if someone had a title that lots of people would click, like hot bikinis, and point at a bad site, you go there instantly unlike other sites that have some text from the OP and when you click on the link it warms you it's going outside and you have to click again.
