Christianity says hate the sin not the sinner.
Amazing how so many Christians ignore that part.
Edit: It would appear I stepped on a hornets nest. lol.

bible doesn't really say that
Romans 12:9
Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
Ok I'll abhor what is evil, evil people. Abhor means hate.
Proverbs 6:16-
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
Ok the Lord hates things? Must be ok for me too then.
Psalm 5:5 The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers.
Yes I do
Jude 1:23 Save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
Ok

We got somebody citing the bible.
When concerned with fairy tales i always liked "Lord Of The Rings" more than the Bible, fyi.
I will count these arguments: So now i am at "1".

bible is full of symbolism, good to read our rulers sacred texts

Sry, for me LOTR is more sacred than the bible.
Because this anthology actually has a message.

tolkien based some of it on the bible. aragorn represents jesus. Tom Bombadil is god.

And still you won't understand what the difference actually is.
That is why i don't debate with dumbasses.
You gotta find out on your own. This is might. This is power.
Otherwise you know: There is a hammer that i can call with my mind.
It's small but it smells like lightning, so better think again.
The only one who can give you power are you yourself.
Talk to me again, when you digested this message.
It even has a name. Fairies tell it is made from old "sky-like" metals.
I can tell you: It is made from Iridium.

Ain't it ? I believe these mostly are the Catholics.
[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun - 2 years ago (10 children)
Ain't it ?
Indeed.
I believe these mostly are the Catholics.
Nope - this is primarily a Protestant/Calvinist thing (though they learned how to do this from Catholics in the 16th century). Consider the extent to which the Christian-right and megachurches in the US have promoted the hatred of ANYONE who did not agree with the Christian right. Moreover, Protestants, Baptists, Mormons, and other non-Catholics much more commonly promote the belief that ONLY those in their specific Protestant-descended groups will go to heaven. Non-Baptists will go to hell. Non-Mormons will go to hell, &c. Moreover, Jews think non-Jews will go to hell. Muslims think non-Muslims will go to hell (and not get 72 virgins). In short, /s/fschmidt will enjoy a lot of hatred at a magachurch. The only Christians who genuinely try to love all others are the Society of Friends ('Quakers' - and in partial credit to your point, these are Protestants).

You possibly can copy Carswells style of argumentation. This even got him very upset. So upset that at this point in time he even spends energy to fight you. Mainly because he is concerned how "western" societies develop.
You even can copy fschmidt.
You never can copy entropy.
That is what i am.

Don't speak for me.
Socks doesn't argue. He sows chaos and division and evades real debate because he cannot defend his bullshit.
I am not upset. I aim to clean up Saidit by dealing with socks. If you were as observant as you claim, you'd understand this.

I got halfway through reading his comment, getting more and more confused, until I got to "magachurch" and realized it was socks posting.
I've never blocked any user before, but in his case, I think it's warranted

You can' even take help yourself. That one makes me feel sad. I never did speak in your name. Because i GOT only this account and it will stay this way.
You know that i got more people in my family that are like you than you can even grasps. This means that even what i did, i did with an open hard.
There is in fact a kind of difference between 'lawful' and 'chaotic' personalities.
Because in fact persons associated with a 'lawful' character (person who supposedly are mighty) rather take an overstep here or there.
Person that are 'chaotic' mostly never change their orientation. They just got more flex than you can shield even now.
I could change from 'neutral' to 'good' or 'bad'. But this was a choice (think about this paradox, before putting me into any barrels of yours).
Nonetheless i'd never completely turn into my enemy just to "win".
You were used by /u/socks because several times times now. So you reflect this on me. I am NOT your enemy. I try to protect you. But even that doesn't work ok. We gotta change methods here.
I am a severely good advisor bc. i don't only incorporate ADHS with Asperger-Autism.
I know how languages operate, because 90 % of my time in math i spend like i liked it. In Linguistics. Mostly.
So if you ever crawl up on my ass again: Don't. I'm on the spectrum. You are mainly loved for your posts.

All talk, you pretend to know but haven't a clue.
Your ego, inflated phony intellectualism, and abstract riddles are tiresome and boring.
Actually do something notable, or provide food for thought, if you want a real discussion.
I'll waste time nor entertain you no further.

Psalms 11:5 KJV: The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Gods soul hates the wicked. That does seem a bit like hating the sinner.

I'm really suspicious of how most of Christendom seems to try as hard as it can to ignore the gospel books. Almost as if they don't want people to know what's in them.
