We came real close to possibly having another September fire situation we were only inches from disaster yet somehow not only did we avoid a massive fire situation (though some small fires were trying to grow big) we also avoided brownouts/blackouts despite our grid not being ready for 105F weather.

Our temps in the shade maxed out at 118F near Salem with temps in the sun at 127F heat index of 135F. I have never seen anything like that. This puts 2006 to shame! Some weather stations to the south of us registered legit 121F/122F readings.

I helped projected positive energy and imagined we were going to ride things out with casualties as minimum as possible and it turns out we didn't all drop dead despite going thru temps we are not familiar with.

And what's worse is Seattle got near 110F in many places outside of the immediate Pudget Sound which should've strained our grid to the max. I am guessing cause it was cooler in California they didn't suck our electricity dry since they never went above 100F this ENTIRE time.
