Yeah, it might deter some, but not Loki; he'll do anything for attention, like a toddler — a devil-worshipping toddler. I bet it'll shut down the Americans bot for a few days, though. If we ban email addresses along with users, it would make it a bit harder to spam than just asking them to click a link on any old email.

Requiring an email address would also help at making sure u/Basghetti doesn't lose her account again. LOL

A 24 hour wait to post would help, along with a badge that identifies new users for the first two weeks. The badge timer starts running with the first post.

Nobody does that, though. You have to be high in Openness and lots of people aren't. They keep themselves to themselves.

The point is not to deter them thought. It's to slow their productivity down. If it reduce his spamming speed by 20%, that's more free times for you and the rest of the admins to clear their spams.
