Are you seriously advocating for allowing death threats on SaidIt? That would definitely get us shut down by the feds — if the woke hosting company doesn't get to us first. I'm surprised we're still up as is.

[–]Node 3 insightful - 8 fun3 insightful - 7 fun4 insightful - 8 fun -  (37 children)

Actual death threats to people on saidit like: "I'm going to find you and kill you on April 31st", or more of the 'neck yourself' kind?

[–][deleted] 14 insightful - 3 fun14 insightful - 2 fun15 insightful - 3 fun -  (36 children)

Of course you would advocate for allowing death threats, because you're one of the users who keep making them.

[–]Node 3 insightful - 7 fun3 insightful - 6 fun4 insightful - 7 fun -  (0 children)

Sigh.

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 7 fun2 insightful - 6 fun3 insightful - 7 fun -  (34 children)

That was a legit question you avoided.

Show me Node making death threats please. Then I can chose to support you and M7 - or not if it's ridiculous. FYI, the politicians and the mafia government are FAR more harmful than mere jokes.

[–][deleted] 12 insightful - 3 fun12 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 3 fun -  (33 children)

He did it four times that I know of. They where obviously removed, because not doing so exposes SaidIt to legal liability, so the links won't work. I'll have to just take a bunch of screenshots.

Here's Node saying transgender people should be shot.

Here's Node promoting treason and mass murder, which would get SaidIt seized by the federal government if we didn't remove it.

Here's Node saying violence is the "necessary solution" and criticizing Magnora for removing death threats.

Here's Node saying homosexuals should be burned to death.

I agree with u/Chipit: u/Node is a left-wing troll pretending to be a Fascist making death threats, just to make SaidIt look bad — and ultimately get us shut down. I've told u/Magnora7 about his repeated and severe violations of not only SaidIt's rules, but US law, but he has yet to take any action — which could very well get us in legal trouble.

If it gets worse, I might have to report him to the FBI, because even though I don't think he's serious, I don't want to take the chance he's an actual terrorist, and have the cops knocking on my door asking why I didn't tell anyone.

[–]Chipit 11 insightful - 3 fun11 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 3 fun -  (7 children)

Yeah, the guy is bad news. He's not here to have a conversation, he's here to disrupt, demoralize, and hopefully get the site shut down by the upstream provider by posting content that violates their TOS.

[–][deleted] 12 insightful - 3 fun12 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 3 fun -  (5 children)

Exactly! It's obvious to anyone paying attention that he's just trying to get the whole site banned. It's only a matter of time before SaidIt goes under, and people like u/Node ain't helping that.

We have to be careful not to ban legitimate users who just messed up a couple times, but we have to draw the line at repeated violations of US law.

He should keep in mind that if SaidIt is ever subpoenaed: we'd have to hand over the IP logs, and even if he's just a left-wing troll and doesn't believe a word he says: a jury will still find him guilty.

[–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 6 fun3 insightful - 5 fun4 insightful - 6 fun -  (1 child)

Chipit is talking about himself.

"he's just trying to get the whole site banned."

Nonsense.

"We have to be careful not to ban legitimate users who just messed up a couple times, but we have to draw the line at repeated violations of US law."

You really should drop that line about US law. No one cares. Not advocating violence is common sense, and it's illegal everywhere, not just in the US. More importantly it's not SaidIt culture and is against site rules (even if some are arbitrary and stupid, while missing others).

It seems he overstepped a couple times.

Does he have an IP or VPN? Your threat may be worthless.

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

He doesn't seem to use a VPN.

[–]Node 1 insightful - 7 fun1 insightful - 6 fun2 insightful - 7 fun -  (2 children)

repeated violations of US law

Would you like to be reported to people who can fix your mental problems?

This is extremely amusing. Yes, I know he's a troll and using bots to harm our site, but the guy sure is entertaining if you don't take all this too seriously. And frankly, you shouldn't. There's also real life, you know.

Now bear in mind, I'm not advocating for him, I'm just saying sometimes his posts are wildly entertaining.

    [–]Node 1 insightful - 7 fun1 insightful - 6 fun2 insightful - 7 fun -  (0 children)

Perhaps you'd be happier back on reddit.

Report him to the FBI? They are the terrorists.

That is insanity, TAM. The second link you provided is him saying the GovCorp needs to be forcibly removed, although he obviously likes the "forcibly" part. Can't say I blame him.

    [–]Node 5 insightful - 11 fun5 insightful - 10 fun6 insightful - 11 fun -  (4 children)

    That is insanity, TAM.

You're saying that to a teenage boy pretending to be a girl...

    [–][deleted] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Node, chill. I know you're pissed, rightfully so-- but step back for a bit.

Node isn't a leftwing troll. He's a right-wing retiree with a sense of humor that could easily be considered offensive, but most of the humor circulating here is the same. He's not a terrorist, and he's tried to be transparent about everything going on with the screenshots and other bullshit drama that's been going around with both you and m7 from the get-go. Bringing the FBI around here is going to drop user attendance down to nothing. White supremacy, anti semitism, transphobia, misogyny, misandry, general racism, discussions of anarchy, etc. are among extremely common themes here. They don't give a shit if it's /pol/, it'll be considered on par with it because there's enough evidence to show views that do not match up with the running agenda.

      [–][deleted] 11 insightful - 4 fun11 insightful - 3 fun12 insightful - 4 fun -  (3 children)

You don't joke about telling people to commit murder.

      [–][deleted] 7 insightful - 12 fun7 insightful - 11 fun8 insightful - 12 fun -  (1 child)

      [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Wow. Good examples. I understand where some are coming from. The last one was especially relatable.

They have the monopoly on violence, they use it freely, and there's a huuuuuge self-defense grey area in times of war.

This summer will be worse than last as the ruling class is intentionally intensifying their multi-faceted wars on humanity.

      [–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 7 fun3 insightful - 6 fun4 insightful - 7 fun -  (0 children)

First: Talking to the FBI is inviting trouble.

Second: Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to and effort to document and explain. THIS is fair, open, accountable, (consistent?), and honest social management. Saved.

I don't trust anything conservatard Chipit shill says at all.

I also don't know /u/Node well at all and they seemed insightful and okay until now. I wonder if it's a young stupid guy trying to impress folks.

Here's Node saying [furries,] transgender [and sexual degenerates] people should be shot.

An intolerant and terrible sense of humour if it's a joke. A shame if it's not. Either way it's a clear violation of the rules. I don't like censorship or banishments, but I would understand. A few warnings would be my preference, along with a 2-day, 2-week, and 4-ever ban.

Here's Node promoting treason and mass murder, which would get SaidIt seized by the federal government if we didn't remove it.

That's not advocating violence. It's clever enough to not outright say it. I've said shit that could be compared to this, though not so clumsy, nor with the same motives or goals.

ALL governments are mafia scum who maintain their monopoly on violence. Violence is never the solution, even for resistance. They'll just bring more. The only solution is to evolve and grow out from under their boot and find deeper meaning in alternatives to their corporatocracy consumer culture.

Here's Node saying violence is the "necessary solution" and criticizing Magnora for removing death threats.

I don't think that's advocating violence. Certainly borderline and close but too ambiguous. "Even when it's the necessary solution" could mean anything. I don't agree with it as it is and don't think it's ever a legit solution. The slope is way to slippery. However, if he misspoke and meant defending oneself is necessary, then I'd agree with that. I wouldn't call that violence though.

Here's Node saying homosexuals should be burned to death.

Without more context (all your examples don't show what came before) I can't tell if that's a joke in poor taste or a serious call for harm. Regardless, IMO, it still deserves a warning/spank. Being clever with words does not make you exempt from the rules.

"just to make SaidIt look bad — and ultimately get us shut down."

That sounds like hyperbolic nonsense from M7. These few comments will not get SaidIt shut down, nor make it look bad. Even if there's a thousand times as much we haven't seen. IMO he deserves a spanking and another chance, maybe two - on a shorter fuse. This "strike" should also expire in 6 or 12 months, IMO.

The "US Law" is not there to protect you, me, SaidIt, or anyone but the ruling class. Avoid them at all costs. SaidIt has a sub dedicated to exposing /s/PoliceMisconduct. I doubt they'd like that, among other things.

      [–]Node 2 insightful - 6 fun2 insightful - 5 fun3 insightful - 6 fun -  (1 child)

Wait, aren't you that teenage boy who's pretending to be a female? At least you're likely to take care of that problem yourself, once you're capable of realizing how badly you've screwed up. No one is ever going to take such a mental case seriously.

      [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 7 fun2 insightful - 6 fun3 insightful - 7 fun -  (0 children)

Sadly, it seems some people are. I would say most of them would be uncomfortable on Saidit, but M7 specifically selected him.

      [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 7 fun1 insightful - 6 fun2 insightful - 7 fun -  (6 children)

Using u/Chipit as a reference is in and of itself, woefully misguided. There is nothing worthy of referring to in his posts.

You and him do more damage to saidit's reputation than Node ever could.

Yes, Node's humor is edgy, but mostly harmless. He did go over the line once, but it was for a good cause.

      [–]Chipit 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You neither addressed nor refuted anything that was said.

      Agreed.

You and him do more damage to saidit's reputation than Node ever could.

      Disagree.

Blame M7 for his moderator choice, don't blame TAM who's doing the best she can, shaky as it is at times. It's due to their youth, inexperience, and tone-deafness not your other excuses. You're far from perfect nor a fair judge. We were all young once and IMO she deserves a chance to learn and improve.

Yes, Node's humor is edgy, but mostly harmless. He did go over the line once, but it was for a good cause.

Agreed. IMO, he crossed the line twice - and that's only in the examples I did see. There is no good cause for violence.

      [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

There is no good cause for violence.

I agree, but this is a website. There is no violence on websites. There can be, at worst, representations of violence, both literary and visually. But that's it and frankly even those visual representations of violence are on OTHER sites that can get linked here. So what does this have to do with edgy-humored posts?

If I ever meet you or even see you in the distance, I will aim at you and SHOOT. With my camera. And I will SNAP you. With a shot. And CAPTURE you. In image.

Geddityet? None of this is violent. The violence is IN YOUR MIND.

      [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

      I already understand.

The rule is not against violence. The rule is against advocating violence.

There is a rule against porn and against advocating violence because there's already more than enough reason to target SaidIt.

      You know this.

      [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

What if I violently shoot, snap and capture you?

      With a camera of course.

Wait, maybe somebody could construe the above as stating that I would use a gun to injure you, break your bones and put you in cuffs and kidnap you, all the while having a camera on me. See? With that kind of mentality, pretty much anything can be construed as calling for violence. Please don't stretch.

But frankly I think I might be done with this site. Too much damn drama, and you lefties have obviously taken control and take the side of censorship. That's all that needs to be said, really.

      [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

      Trolls be here.
