I just created a private sub and was still setting it up for myself, I noticed on the sidebar that there are a few users lurking despite none of it's content is public. How can a few users be lurking new subs very fast even if it's private?

It's ghosts. Notch ended up having his dead brother haunting the game he created. M7 has been having the same issues here on saidit. Sometimes you might notice comments or posts on your account you don't recall making, especially when you've been weakened by detectably drinking. They watch.

Or it's a quirk of the site programming. Hard to say.

I would end up changing my passwords if I saw comments I didn't make. Although Reddit does have 2FA but I don't remember this site having 2FA

I know, but I was making light of a couple occasions when I actually drunk-posted, and the comments got a little out of hand. Then it was more like, "wait, I posted that?"

I see no one has explained what happened there yet, and I'm curious too.
