Should /u/diogenesjunior be un-banned? I've lost a friend. I don't know the details: who where when what how why. This is a serious problem on SaidIt.

The worst part is that there's no shortage of simple open legit solutions to help deal with these issues - without compromising the site, needing extra admin privileges or special access, etc. Community-based self-policing would also unburden the admins and they could do more "leadership" stuff. Nothing needs to be permanent. Try stuff out. If something doesn't work, try something else. Evolve. The asstrolls do, and it will only get worse in the future.

I was attacked and accused just now for being a shill because I said DDG is censoring a Google's YouTube alternative called odysee.

They called me a Google shill. I shit you not.

Thanks for the ping. I was just about to check that post out, as I quit Google and skeptically use DDG, but I guess I'll need to move on to Searx.

FYI, TheAmeliaMay is an admin and young trans-woman who means well.

Noted. Im sure she did mean well, when you are constantly attacked, its easy to see to see everyone as a threat. I must admit I had my moments like this trying to protect a CV subreddit back last march.....
