well, first you need some competent moderation.. truth is, i liked ameliamay, a lot, i thought she was wonderful as a mod..

the first that needs to be done is that the homepage needs to be cleaned...

next, the core functions of this site need to be reworked.

and, the whole site needs to be put up on the darkweb so that nobody can shut it down..

So much work for an antique codebase that no one cares about. But if you can form some kind of consensus and multiple people wants changes, I'm down. I think the future looks a lot like Lemmy.

for example, do you remember that bullshit user that used to post all of the "AMERICANS ARE SO BATSHIT CRAZY THAT BLAH BLAH BLAH"...

and everybody just let that shit fly like nothing was wrong with it..

just fyi, that was not a user that was here to communicate with others.. he was, however, here to disrupt and to discourage and confuse.. and he did a wonderful job..

all you would have had to do was to put all new users into a quarantine until others vote to bring him out of quarantine.

you could have done some really simple things to make this forum work better, but you didnt.

Well it's interesting to hear that this one bot posting 20 things a day ruined this site. If you were here and it bothered you that much, you should have brought it up more often. Usually it's the alt-right ruined the site, or restrictions on alt-right extremist content ruined the site. You really think spam is the issue here? How often do you see spam even on the frontpage?

There was an abuse problem with banned users still voting over the last month or two, and that issue has been fixed.

That account was created all of 7 days ago with the first comment being some horshshit about violence and the rules of Saidit. Might genuinely be the ramblings of a brain addled elderly dude, but I've got doubts given the timing and comments. I wouldn't waste the effort trying to justify anything, personally, but that's your decision.
