People come in here waves. The Voat wave is passing away.

I expect soon the wave when reddit starts banning subs about covid.

Information that I find interesting is more concentrated on certain subs. Usually they are also more controversial (compared to reddit)

Like:
/s/coronavirus
/s/vaccineSkepticism
/s/ClimateSkeptics
/s/NoNewNormal
/s/CorruptScience

In the mean time I build up a database of articles (and videos) that I find very interesting/informative.
That way the site becomes Quality over Quantity. I think that this site was intended for that purpose.

But quality posts do not get you many internet points. And that is what I think is wrong with this site's ranking system. Often important posts are buried, while unimportant news and jokes usually get on top.

I like to post interesting science on:
/s/Physics
/s/Biology
/s/Mathematics

I suggest everyone to add some quality articles to the site as well.

I agree. Not many people click the light icon on interesting posts, and instead laugh at those of us who try the hardest to make this place better.

But that "laugh" button is good-natured. It represents the FUN element of SaidIt, which has no negative ratings for topics.

The problem is the home page is popular by default instead of new. People are lazy, me included. Why clicking on new if there's new stuff in popular?

I lack the intelligence for all three of those subforums, rip
