Reddit admins are creepy. Just move on.

Rejoice at your ban from reddit! You probably don't feel it or realize it yet, but you've been freed from a propaganda brainwashing hell hole.

I too wanted to go back after my ban, but thankfully didn't find a way around their detection methods. Now, of course, the kind of people I see there horrify me.

I look into my dummy account through tor and see my suspension notification.

So you logged into one of your banned accounts. Well, not sure exactly what they do, but every computer has a unique configuration of settings, extensions, and more, which can be detected. Like a fingerprint, your computer attributes and characteristics are unique.

This was on an unbanned, new account

Was just reading yesterday about some of the new techniques for identifying unique devices on the internet. I don't know what reddit is doing, but if you're using the same device, there are apparently ways to know it's you.

When I was young, your identification was a piece of cardboard stock with your name, height, weight, eye color, and address printed on it. You might have fingerprints on file if you were born in a hospital.

Now that computers and the internet exist, we're heading towards total continuous tracking and identification (TCTI), both on and offline.

How to make new account to circumvent banning on reddit

Try searching that term, or something similar. Here's one of the google answers:

  • Try using a VPN as there are many free VPN's in the market.

  • Use another mobile or computer as maybe your device mac address is banned and not the IP.

  • Try using another browser like Tor, Brave, Mozilla or Microsoft Edge.

  • Try clearing data and cache from your browser.

I'd bet on the mac address ban, as it bans your device. You should research to see if this might cause other problems, but if you find it won't...

Good luck.

Sorry to come back to this.

I'll admit, I'm addicted, and I also find it extremely annoying general interest subs like city subs are run by trolls and trollmods.

Reddit detected an account originally banned from a subreddit months ago; a very old account they let be; and a shell created three months ago. All used without email addresses, all using different passwords.

I'll admit, I commented on the same shit. I tried to hide my riding style.

Do I need to clear my cache every time? Was using opera to save passwords.

All 3 accounts were permanently suspended for subreddit evasion.

Sorry to ask here, I'm partially venting.

Ah, the addiction. I suppose it wouldn't help to point out this is an opportunity to stop using reddit?

I stopped in 2015, although I do sometimes click on gaming links on the Google.

If none of the solutions listed above work, try getting a new phone or computer with no connections to your old devices or info. Or spend your 'reddit time' researching businesses you could potentially start. Put your persistence into that.
