Why are some people great at solving complex puzzles in games (both real and digital) while others tend to stumble in the dark unless clear instructions are put in front of them? (There's no category for Psychology related questions of the human brain)

One game I love but suck at is Logical Journey of the Zoombinis a series of logic puzzles based mostly on 4 traits which puzzles start off easy only requiring 2 then gradually work in difficulty to Very Very Hard. I just have fun watching them Zoombinis get bonked around a lot. I can do most puzzles on the easy difficulty and some on the medium.
