It will happen at different rates depending on the country. In mine (Mexico), we are living through it right now. Many of us seem "unaffected" right now, but I suspect this is something like putting a frog in boiling water.

I don't remember where I read it, but it seems collapses like ours usually take around 2-4 years to be 100% complete, and since we are already 2 years free falling…

What do you expect the local collapse to look like? What will happen?

In our case, violence, hunger and possibly millions of deaths from those. This will be not quite different to our own Mexican Revolution, where gangs of thugs were pillaging and raping all across the country.

After all the collapse and eventual reconstruction of the country some years ahead, all those marauders will be hailed as heroes, since they were the ones who won control of the country.

Has happened before and will continue to happen again. Over and over.

Life just gets gradually worse and worse

Yeah… you can see it right now.

For example, vegetables have become more expensive and scarce. The few fruits and vegetables you can get are quite expensive and low quality, compared with some years ago.
