No downvotes is a dumb idea - you can do different things: maybe max downvote -10 karma Or 0 or 1 or whatever. But the amount of idiots who get equal views with great comments?

A simpler solution would simply be calling out what's going on. Seems more effective any amount of downvotes.

Great point. I can't count the number of times I've been downvoted on Reddit without ever getting a reply. If people say something that's false or rude, how they are supposed to learn? If people are correct, it allows dogmatic people to punish a person for thinking differently without ever having to justify their views themselves.
