All of this excepting the last line is good advice. In the current situation learning gardening, first aid, or small engine repair is a better use of time.

That said, you left off the most important bit of all.

Get armed. Common caliber and model guns are best. A 9 mm sidearm and an AR-15 if you are in the US. You should aim to eventually have 2000 rounds for each. You'll probably want at least 4-5 mags for the 9 mm and 7+ for the AR.

The most common decent quality 9 mm's in the US are Smith and Wesson M&P, and Glock.

AR is a platform, not a brand (if you're not a gun person). For the most part the manufacturer of the AR really doesn't matter, because they all use a common base of parts. A Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport can be had for under $500 with a sale.

Law and order breaks down in times of civil unrest and social instability. You want to be self-sufficient, which means ensuring both you and your family are not defenseless against those that wish you harm.

If you're on a very tight budget even a low quality Hi-Point 9 mm with a few hundred rounds of ammo and a couple of spare clips is vastly superior to being at mercy of any person or group of people that are physically stronger.

I assume you live in the US. If TSHTF in an urban environment, are more guns going to help? I would say the world needs less guns, not more. Be the change.

Can you see how this runs counter to the rest of the advice. i.e. get friendly with the neighbours, plant seeds but arm yourself just in case?... Let's hope you're wrong on this!

If you don't want to be under the thumb of anyone who else who is either armed, or physically stronger, or outnumbers you; then yes - they are required.

The only thing that holds civilization together is violence / men willing to die to enforce the structure they believe in. Without it the biggest guy in the room was is able to do what he wants. After all, anyone who doesn't like it can be summarily beat to death. Local leaders might have more armed men, that would come kill him for this action later / maybe not. Guns are a force equalizer that allow a 110 lb 5'2" woman to tell a 6'9" 220 lb man no.

Your neighbors need to be armed too. Ideally you can work out a mutual defense plan with them. When an angry anti-White mob shows up, ready to rape/murder/destroy, you don't want to be dependent upon out-numbering them.

Let's hope you're wrong on this!

Look at the history of Haiti, and more recently Rhodesia and South Africa. I'm not.
