How come we are able to figure out a date for raiding Area 51. But we can't figure out a date we all go back to work?

We have been safe with WFH, but my office is starting to get people to come back in. I have no idea how they are going to possible keep an entire LARGE office safe with so many people cramped in. Meetings will still be Skype even in office, we cant use any conference rooms, and desks are on top of each other (some with no walls!). Add to this, it is going to take 6 hours just to get to your floor (exaggerating) if one person at a time has to use the elevator and they would need to wipe down all elevator buttons every 20 mins at that rate.
I dont disagree about opening everything back up, but "being safe" seems like a mask to some of the larger corporations.
