Yes, I work in a library, and love it
I also do some wood working, which I also love finding something we enjoy / want to do is a key component of life satisfaction
and someone once told me wise words I'll never forget: "life is what we make of it"

But I've also had a lot of shitty jobs, and I will always be mindful that my time is way more valuable than any monies

My job kicks ass. I basically am a go between large companies and the property insurance underwriters. I've traveled all over Canada inspecting the countries largest mines, paper mills, and manufacturing facilities looking for fire and machinery breakdown exposures that can cost insurance companies a shitton of money.

I also work from home and get drunk on the company dime with colleagues.

I'm at a point in my career now where I don't really travel anymore and just manage accounts, wine and dine brokers/customers and send junior engineers or other consultants out to the sites for the grunt work. It also pays really well and I pulled in slightly more then 200k in 2019.

I absolutely love my current job, best job I've ever had. But not because of what I do, but because I work for a family owned business, they genuinely care about their employees.
