A saidit formatting oddity, how can I fix it?

When I write a comment to a post with more than one paragraph, I use double space... and lately, for no reason I know, the formatting will change to a linear layout where the sentence runs off the page and has a bar to follow the runout. It doesn't happen all the time, let's try it here

This last time, I wrote a three paragraph comment, and the formatting kicked in on the middle one but reverted to normal for the third. And I see here, it did not kick in when I double spaced. How can I handle this when it happens? I've tried deleting the paragraph and re-writing, but that doesn't always work either.

Double space at the end of a line or paragraph = line break aka </br>

If you put a dash "-" in the line before a line or paragraph you'll get a nice space between, bigger than the default, as the space above this sentence is bigger than the default between the first two lines. If you put a dash with a space or more it becomes a bullet point.

 

If you use an "&" followed by "nbsp;" followed by two line ending spaces after it you get the biggest space (an empty line) above this line. That non-breaking-space (plus 2 spaces) can be used as much...
