What can I do for if I live a place with many monkeys steal my stuff?

I thought this was a racist troll post, but since it isn't: can't people just put decon pellets in food they leave out? Like we do for rats. Or is it not effective on monkeys.

The poison pellets have to be sized for a monkey. So if you put out rat poison, the monkeys can eat it all day and nothing will happen to them. The poison only works if it reaches a certain level per kg of body weight. So rat and mouse poison pellets have different amounts of poison in them due to the fact they target different sized creatures.

It seems like they are strong enough to kill dogs, which got them banned in some areas, but maybe monkeys metabolize them differently? Or have a diet that keeps their blood coagulating so the poison doesn't kill them as easily? But I'm sure you are right that much more poison would be required than a couple pellets. They would probably have to eat a ton of poisoned food to get to the same level that a rat would get to off of just a few pellets. And they are smart so probably wouldn't go for it as easily. Bet a pellet gun would do the trick though...
