Sounds similar to Train to Busan. Dont know how much love The Wailing got, but it was one of the best horror films I've ever seen.

I loved Train to Busan but don't think that the movies are similar. They both have fast running Zombies like 100's of other horror movies (29 Days later, World War Z, the one in the police station). One takes place on a train and the other in a building.

I'll have to see. Speaking of fast moving zombies, Dawn of the Dead (2004) was great. The only asian they had in it was the one armed zombie though.

There was a pretty cool movie about a virus infecting a building with an asian actor, but its not really like any of the movies in this topic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly5CoyPkqqo

I've seen Mayhem and wasn't to happy about Margot Robbie's character. It was to clichee. The conversations were to bad to be bad in a good way. Having said it, the scene were she was spitting at him and he spit back was kinda hot. Asian men loved to see Glen from the Walking Dead getting another White girl. I don't like the 'Pick me' sentiment regardless of race, skin color or gender. The story was better on IMDB than the actually movie.

Train to Busan had me on the edge of my seat. Cursing when my man had died. Screaming at my screen because the 'hero' was an idiot and doing stupid things. Exhausted why idiot can live and my men has to die, and all the other stuff that happened. I'm not sure if I should tag my post with spoilers. Do we even have that spoiler thing on SaidIt? It was one of the best Zombie movies I've seen in years.

I'm glad that more people realize that we don't have to rely on Hollywood, and that we can utilize the internet to watch awesome movies from around the world. I love sci-fi; horror, Zombie, post apocalyptic movies, dark ghost stories. I don't rely on the U.S. market anymore. See what they have done to Death Note. The last movies I've watched and liked in my favorite genre were mostly not American/Western. Never knew that Kuwait, South Africa, Indonesia/Malaysia(?) could make some sick films. There's one exemption. I don't know the title of the movie. Wasn't in the cinemas, straight to tv. A Lone wolf in a Zombiecalyptic world arrives at a police station to protect the last human survivors who gathered there for protection from the horde (fast running zombies). Found this diamond on YouTube and don't remember the name. It was a good one.

Dawn of the Dead (2004) was cool. I loved the original but respect the 2004 remake. Most Zombie purists in my circle hated it and I couldn't discuss the movie with most of them. I appreciate that you confidently, stated on the interwebs that you liked it.

If you are into Asian horror movies. Do you know the name of the Zombie movie that takes place in Singapore? The zombie infection started because of people buying infected food from a street vendor? It's part comedy, horror movie and social-political commentary of a multicultural, religious city State/country.

I can't stand myself for being bad remembering good movies. If you like Zombie movies you will like it.

She wasnt too good in it, but I was rooting for the main guy to get the girl.

Hollywood lacks good story tellers. They make up for it with big budget fx and selling sex or using black magic. I've seen the Death Note anime, but not the live action movie. No interest really, I know it would just piss me off.

Not sure what movie that was in the police station, but it reminds me of an indie film called The Void (2017). Except the zombies were people turned into monsters. Similar to something David Cronenberg would come up with. Also, the protagonist goes to a hospital instead of a police station, although he is a cop. The movie's theme was along the lines of Lovecraft. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2ot6ogGZNc

The original Dawn of the Dead was good for its time for a few reasons. Mainly since it was the next installment after Night of, in color in a modern setting. Romero used it also to make a political statement. Day of the Dead was a better movie to me which tackled a philosphical issue. But the 2 go hand in hand, the ending of Dawn flying away in the helicopter and the beginning of Day of the Dead in the underground bunker where they ended up. Gunna watch the Argento cut later tonight!

The remake for me was way cooler. The start of it was insane and never really let up. The soundtrack with the new (at the time) Johnny Cash song. The biblical references of the end times. Also, having the woman give birth to a zombie was fucking crazy. HAHA The film was beautifully shot too, great use of colors and camera work. Second favorite zombie film would be Return of the Living Dead (1985).

There's a couple other remakes that I found better than the originals that would piss off die hards. Evil Dead (2013) But Evil Dead 2 cant be topped ever. Suspiria (2018) The witches dance sequences evoking evil, was it life imitating art?

No idea what the Singapore movie is. I saw an asian zombie film some time ago that had a fat guy as the supporting actor. It was kind of comedy could that be it?

I was busy the last days but had your comment in my mind. I went through all the movies I've watched and bookmarked to find that particular movie: A guy at work when the Zombie attack happened. He makes it home to his 2 or 3 wives. They discuss if one of his wives is infected and if/how they should kill her- Zombie-Horror comedy.

I was desperate finding the movie and even double checked Singapore and Malaysian zombie, horror comedies on YouTube, Imdb, The internet... IIrc, it happened in a multi-ethnic, multi-religious country= Singapore/Malaysia. The main guy had 1 or 2 Buddhist wives and one Muslim woman who turns out to be a badass Zombie killer. They dragged the movie down for 15 minutes by going away from being a light hearted horror comedy to social-political commentary on the relations between Buddhists/Hindus and Muslims in Malaysia/Singapore.

I couldn't find the movie and it drove me mad! I'm not crazy and was watching it on YouTube! I didn't respond to your last post because I was on a mission to find that movie an giving you the link. The name of the movie could be a postcode area or borough of Singapore/Malaysia.

Btw, I've watched the movie with the cop stranded in the hospital (the link you gave me). It wasn't familiar at first but after watching the trailer I remembered watching it. I don't recall much, except for the scenes with the 'crazy' doc at the end, opening the gates to another realm that reminded me of the early Hellraiser movies showing hell.

I'm still hellbent to keep searching and giving you some links.. What are your thoughts on Pan's Labyrinth?
