The thing is, when you finally understand how global politics and the world actually moves, you realize there’s really only a very limited set of actions you can take personally, unless you were born influential, or wealthy, or have connections and ties to your own country. As a minority, you’re never going to be the vanguard of any change. Africa had to revolt first, for African Americans to rebel in the US. As a Korean, I have a complicated relationship with the Chinese (simply put: I hate all of you, for a lot of personal reasons and experiences I’ve had in my life). At the same time, I respect Chinese people that stand up for New China, defend their Communist Party, and fight against Western imperialism and liberalism (and its fascist/conservative wing) openly. I might not like you, but I could probably fight alongside you if shit hit the fan. The kowtowing, self-hating ones, especially here in the US, are absolutely despicable.
