if creative jobs aren’t safe from machines, then even high-skilled jobs are in danger of becoming obsolete What will we have then?

The day I see a computer snake my clogged swear pipe then I will believe.

I think the true point here is there are a lot of useless jobs, work for the sake of work (IE middle management) and over paid jobs. (Like actors, musicians and pro sport players) and yeah, those people should be worried.

AI generates its are by interpolating what other artists have done, so it depends on the creativity of other artists. A good society would reward artists that contribute to society's creativity output, and not reward the artists that just plagiarize other artists. I would argue AI generated art just adds noise to the system, because it plagiarizes in a difficult to detect way. With humans combining multiple pieces is not plagiarism, because when they do this they will inevitably put their own creative spin on it, but AI purely interpolates.

Visual art and video art are are just going to become cheaper and cheaper it seems. Soon they'll be able to plop in a script and scene descriptions, and AI will produce a 2 hour feature film that will win an oscar

I always link the official article or video and add a mirror or frontend. It serves several purposes; mirrors come and go and it also allows you to search Saidit for other articles from that domain.

Couldn't think of nicer people to this to happen to. They shit all over us and told us to learn to code when automation was replacing our jobs. We were out of step with a changing society and there was nobody to blame but ourselves.

Now it's their jobs that are being replaced, and suddenly it's not funny at all. Telling them to learn to code is a hate crime. They're artists, don't you see? Better than everyone else. More creative, and deserving of a high place in society.

Not only will the AI do it cheaper, it likely will do a better job than they ever could. It's going to be glorious watching them melt down in fury.
