Adam Styka was a polish painter who emigrated to France and became a master in the orintalist movement. He traveled to north Africa and painted the beautiful people and the great scenarios he encountered. He would later move to the United States where he started painting cowboys and American rural themes.

I see that, like many artists, he has an appreciation for the female form. What is Orientalist style of painting?

Orientalism was a movement in European arts characterized by the depiction of eastern cultures and civilizations using European techniques and styles. It was a big thing in France in the XIX century and many of the artists involved were among the cream of the crop of the art academies of the time.
