I found this when looking up the SAFE Bill and thought it was interesting. It's about a month old, but I still wan'o talk about it.

My heart really goes out to the victim's family, and it causes me great pain to know that yet another Dixon was murdered in cold blood by a Yankee.

I found another article about this on another website, stating that the murderer was a "convicted wife-killer". A third article on the same website said:

As for Hernandez, her family said Cardena had recently started dating him. Police told Channel 11 that even though the victim was transgender, this was not a hate crime.

This pretty much tells you all you need to know: it was just a case of domestic violence committed by a man who should've never been let back on the streets — not a hateful transphobe answering some far-right call to arms, as the main article tries to make you think. I wonder if alcohol or drugs was involved, since two-thirds of cases like this are committed by alcoholics.

Arkansas Online AKA Democrat-Gazette is a terrible source, even though I use it a lot — they have a blatant left-wing bias, but are often the only source I can find for local news. In my experience: Fox 16 does a better job, but I'm sure they're biased too.
