    You have iran in the wrong group, 90% of Iranians are shia.

    This article is about Saudi / Iran relations. Their disagreements pre-date the existence of USA or Israel.

    The political differences between Germany and Greece arent Roman vs Orthodox related, but have their roots in that division.

    The political differences between north and south Europe aren't Lutheran vs Catholic related but have their roots in that division.

    Likewise the squabbles between Saudi/Iran are not directly about which Islamic authority should succeed the prophet - but have their roots in that division.

    Anyway my prediction is that the chicom-brokered detente will last until the next houthi drone strike on an Arab oil refinery, if not less

      Washington has for a long time used a “divide and conquer” strategy to keep countries in the Middle East – and elsewhere – at each other’s throats.

      So the exact same policy we use internally?
