you know that blm and antifa would do the same if they could and that the liberal left would find a way to justify it.

Yeah, it's disturbing to think this could spread to our land, and I believe it will. When martial law is declared, then the nation's own military will be used against its citizens, making the previous riots look like child's play.

The nations of the world accepted lockdowns, masks, injections, and more is on the way. Trump used the military to kick this off, with Operation Warp Speed. This is like Nazi Germany....all over the world.... We are witnessing the beginning of WWIII... Military forces against civilians. They have no hope of winning the battle with physical weapons.

This is a spiritual battle and can only be won through Jesus, who is the Savior, and died in our place on the cross.

BLM and antifa are interested in literally killing people for wrongthink and the liberal left indeed excise and rationalize it. Strapping a looter to a tree with saran wrap is a just and moderate punishment.

Punishment for what? Do you even know if they committed a crime?

[–]wristaction 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Misdemeanors, crimes of moral turpitude, antisocial behavior.

Guilt would be determined through the same court system that hands out fines and such.

They want to kill white people. Let’s be real here.

I have no problem with this. We should bring back shame-based punishments in the anglosphere.

Who gets to be the judge?

People who witness crimes

Judges? I didn't call for anarchy. I said we should bring back shame-based punishments. Stocks and scolds' bridles and such.

Would you like to go first? All of your sins could be exposed publicly, to bring you shame, to bring you to repentance.

You appear to be imparting something to this which wasn't suggested. No, I don't want to be chained to a pole in the center of town any more than do I want to pay a fine, but if I am found guilty of a crime or misdemeanor in a court of law, it's not for me to like.

You seem to be leaping to the assumption that "shame-based punishment" implies "scripture-based law". Which is weird. Do you only feel shame when you suspect you've let God down?

Well, at least we both agree that we would not want to be punished like this.

You mentioned a court of law for determining guilt, even though these citizens of Ukraine did not enjoy such due process of law, and we do not know what crime they are guilty of, but you are promoting shameful punishments anyway. We all have sinned, so I asked you if you would like to go first and let the military men strap you to a pole, pull down your pants, and whip you, then leave you in the cold until someone is merciful enough to let you go. You, me, and all men are already deserving of punishment for our sins. Most of our sins just haven't been discovered yet. But someone has to pay for them.

As for me, I admit I have sinned, and I am sorry for those I hurt, by my thoughts, words, and actions. I have received God's forgiveness and praise the Lord for taking my shame publicly on the cross in my place, even though he was innocent. It was his love for all of us that made him lay down his life for our sakes, so that we could be redeemed and be free from the curse of the law. This offer of grace is available to you also, but it's up to you if you want to receive it.

I want mercy for the citizens of Ukraine, and I do not delight in them being beaten publicly, especially since I do not know if they are guilty of a crime.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

You said you were in favor of such shameful punishments, though, so you should prepare yourself to receive the same. Or repent, and receive mercy. It's your choice.

If they give a moderate punishment to those who try to take advantage of the situation to rob or loot, that's the least they could do in times of war.

What punishment are you willing to endure for all your sins?

[–]wristaction 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Am I understanding correctly that you mean to say that there should be no punishment for violations of criminal law because the concept of "crime" is identical with the concept of "sin"?

Man has legalized some sins, while saying what is allowed by God is a crime.

Mothers can rip apart the unborn child in their womb, and man says no crime was committed. But it is still a sin, and someone will have to pay for that guilt of destroying a life.

In American airports now, they play audio messages repeatedly over the speakers telling everyone to wear a mask, that it is a requirement or law according to the federal government. And yet God does not condemn anyone for breathing fresh air and abstaining from wearing a facial covering.

People have been threatened to wear a piece of cloth on their faces. That does not make people healthy or prevent illness. So why should a person be punished with fines or be fired from their jobs or arrested for trespassing for not wearing a piece of cloth over their face? But it's OK to kill the unborn?

Mankind is not doing so well on his judgements and should leave that to God.

"can't access this thread" probably deleted.

also: you can't just claim children are being strapped to poles and beaten without proof. Men I've seen videos. Women I believe it maybe but there's no video I've seen
