At that time, a woman could barely decide to get pregnant or not, and until the invention of contraceptive pills, it was common for a woman to conceive a child every year until menopause set in.

Your grandma conceived +30 children?

I don't even know how many children my grandma had. But I know that not all of them survived and the death of a young child was pretty common back then. There were abortions with hangers and other desperate things that usually killed the woman herself. Apart from sexual abstinence, there was no contraception available for women and she was required by law to fulfill her "spousal duties". Contraceptives were originally intended exclusively for men. The "pill" was originally developed as a pill for men. It was decided to test them on women because men were very bad at tolerating them. The women also tolerated them very badly, but that was not so bad for the developers, a woman was in the understanding of these men always worth less than any man.

Do you have a source for the male birth control originination plan?

Just look up for the invention story of the "pill".

I see... You don't like providing sources for your claims?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

iI see... you don't like to search up the sources for yourself? It is very easy to find. I always look up for sources myself when I am interested in a topic. I think more people should do his.

Btw. I also think that it is pretty ridiculous how people nowdays can't believe anything unless there is a link on the internet to a site where everything got claimed by just another peep. As if things only got real if there is a link to it on the internet. When you tell people what you experienced in real life, they will cry for "sources" and call you an idiot if reality is your only source. People also cry for "sources" even when there are sources so damn easy to find on the internet that they only would need to type a single world into the search engine of their choice. People nowdays are so damn lazy with self-thinking, it's outragious.

You've made some interesting claims. I just figured you may have an interest in providing evidence.

  • it was common for a woman to conceive a child every year until menopause set in.

They first claim was particularly interesting.
