It is probably boring lol, but here goes. I visited his account page and saw he was bitching a lot about something that wasn't a subreddit. After a while, I got the picture: there was some bot who showed some statistic about any account, and apparently bardfinn was upset because the bot was being used by le Nazis to harass him. He wanted the owner to take the bot down unless owner adds an ignore option to the bot - u/polcompbot was the name.

Think about it: a bot which shows info about a user's history and nothing else, being used for harassment! It's like you being harassed by having the nwordcountbot being called on you again and again!

So I said all this to him throwing some choice words. Of course he said I was harassing him. I think reddit administration must be pretty sick of him crying REEE because even though I got a message for harassment, I didn't get suspended even temporarily.

Btw I caught the man doing the exact same thing again. Seems like only they are allowed to make shit like massfagger.

Perhaps now that Reddit has fulfilled his shitlist of subreddits he wanted to see gone, he will obsess over bots instead? He openly admits he has OCD so he has to find something new to obsess over, maybe this will be it.

I don't think so, I think Reddit honestly love what he's doing because he is violating international laws by data-mining and politically profiling Reddit users behind their backs with no prior consent obtained (at least the EU ones amongst them, but he has no way of knowing which user is what) but if he wasn't doing this "industrialized cyberstalking" for Reddit, they would have to do it themselves, and they unlike him have to obtain prior permission. (Unless all the rumours I've heard about him being paid under the table by Reddit to do this are true, but I personally haven't see any credible evidence for these rumours.)

Whatever happened to OpenTagger? It was supposed to be an open version of Masstagger, in a use-their-own-weapons-against-them kind of way.

Maybe, but this was some 3-4 months ago

Reddit honestly love what he's doing

Sure they do, they love that he's making reddit more advertiser friendly, getting rid of 'problematic' subs and collecting user data as you days. But imagine you're a reddit employee and there's this guy who keeps reporting/PMing you about being harassed every other comment he recieves. It's annoying, so What do you do, suspend everyone who he reports about? That would get rid of too many users besides looking at his unhinged personality he probably reports innocuous things to the admins too. So it's hard to take each of his reports seriously. That was my point.

Opentagger

Holy shit I gotta read up on that.
