There's no functional comparison to their iOS equivalents.

Apple, one of the oligarchs of big tech, is responsible for price-fixing, monopolizing the high-end market, and offering consumers less and worse choice.

Two-factor authentication forces you to be tracked (and geolocated) every time you login. The developer program was free just a couple years ago when I was developing software with their API.

Apple typically uses 256 kbps M4A, which is much worse than the lossless and Hi-Fi offerings, and among the lowest per bitrate.

Not every platform discriminates against Christians and conservatives, but most of big tech does.

The limits are quite low when compared to some platforms (a few offer unlimited).

Apple software is closed-source.

I trust non-Chinese companies. Apple qualifies as a Chinese company, unlike many of their competitors (some of which who outsource but don't have their headquarters in China).

You can't use all the functionality in every OS. It's limited on non-iOS versions of the software.

And who wants expensive dongles when we already have the free equivalent built in with the alternatives!

Apple resells and uses your data against your consent, Whatsapp is one of their products that was caught siphoning contacts off your phone without permission.

And they are anti-competitive, good luck trying to make anything Apple-compatible. You can do clones with Linux and Windows, but not Apple.
