Reddit.com nominated for Mockingbird Award! Reddit.com was the first (and only) institution to be nominated so far for this year’s institutional Mockingbird Award. The awards are named for Operation Mockingbird, a CIA operation exposed in the 1970s that used various inducements to editors/publishers/writers to sway their published efforts to CIA ends. The awards are made annually to recognize the institution that has made the most contribution to mold public opinion on issues of concern to the CIA. The award, called the Fartie because truth often stinks, goes to that organization that does the most to silence inconvenient opinions.
This year’s nomination of Reddit.com came because of its brilliant act of quarantining the 9/11 Truth community hosted on the organization’s website. The 911truth group used Reddit to discuss information on that reprehensible issue, the false flag event that was 9/11. The quarantining of the group was done in classic CIA style. That is, the group was quarantined in combination with numerous other groups, many of whom held widely hated opinions. This tactic of grouping 911 Truth supporters with other much more abhorrent views is classic CIA and by itself may propel Reddit to the winner’s circle in this year’s competition.
Congratulations to Reddit on its nomination for this year’s Fartie and for all it has done to undermine that hated institution, democracy.
