He works for MIT, so some intelligence agency probably got to him on this issue. But he speaks groundbreaking truths on the rest. No one can explain the geopolitics of the 80s better than Chomsky
That said, this post isn't very productive, imo. Let's build things up rather than tear things down. Let's avoid promoting in-fighting by attacking those who mostly agree on the big-picture issues about how things operate.

So agree with all you've said, magnora. Chomsky has made enormous contributions in so many areas and is totally brilliant. We all get stuff wrong, and many with a public life do succumb to pressure. Either way, as you say it's not useful to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
