Must be interesting living in a place where heating is always the main concern. Down here in the south, it's all about A/C cooling power, maybe 3/4 of the year. Heat comes in a lot of forms as you mentioned, but cold only really comes in the form of A/C. Certainly requires different approaches.

Thanks for the article, I like this sub a lot.

I don't want to speak from a position of authority on this subject since I really have a lot to learn yet.

    Don't we all, friend.

The part of the world where I live in south Texas, we use the heater maybe 10 days a year and the A/C probably 280 days a year. During the peak of the summer the A/C can't usually keep up and the house gets up to 82F. But getting a new A/C is like $6k...

I kind of wish I lived in a place where I had to keep warm rather than keep cool. Then I could actually use my fireplace once in a while haha. I have maybe 1/4 cord of wood outside that hasn't been touched in 8 months.

I'm hooked up to municipal natural gas, pretty simple, all I have to do is replace the filter once a year with a Nordic Pure filter.
