I don't know about that, in some countries men who are happily married and getting it regularly still pay for sex. I think men crave sex as a recreational and physical outlet in a manner that most women are not accustomed to and equally allowed to reciprocate in. We tell women to behave and not act out sexually, but we let men be as sexually active as possible. Women do need to get pregnant in a functioning society, otherwise there would be no more society. Men don't carry a child, but paternity leave is a thing as well if the mother would like to go back to work after giving birth.

When the narcissist has been brainwashed with these belief systems, these systems will have become internalized. They have become a part of the self and must be advanced and defended. For this any action and lie can be justified. Any challenge will be personal and must be crushed. Abandonment of the beliefs cannot be allowed because it would damage the self, resulting in emotional turmoil and anxiety. The narcissist therefore cannot back down once committed. He has no reverse gear.

No one can choose how they feel, that's the problem. You have to do a whole bunch of stuff that's really hard in order to improve your mood, which is why even people in therapy often don't improve.

That is the best thing Bernie's 2016 campaign did: It prodded millions to question what they believed about government, elections, and US political parties. He carried the language of the Obama-quashed Occupy movement across the country and helped embed the shorthand of "the Establishment," "the 1%," and his own touch, "corporate greed" and "the business model of the pharmaceutical industry is fraud."

His role in stifling the momentum he helped create is another matter.
