I hear what you’re saying, and it’s reflected in the mission statement as to not to use slurs on a habitual basis. I don't think an entire thread would need to be deleted, but allowing comments like that to stand really does bother me.

I'm just worried that people are not going to restrain themselves. Even on Ovarit, I occasionally see people drop slurs. If they know it's allowed, my fear is that they're going to do it more often. I don't want to have to wade through threads filled with t-slurs, and I don't feel comfortable being associated with the sub if it goes in that direction.

I guess we could see how it shakes out. Maybe people will be more restrained given that they are used to avoiding certain speech on Ovarit, but I don't know.
