"Pro-Pedophile" Activist Group Celebrates As Germany Decriminalizes Child Porn Possession by xoenix in TumblrInAction

[–]x0x7 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes. Did you know that pornography in general is illegal in Russia. Yet somehow there is an entire industry of porn there. You can't ban media. If you try to ban racist media online you are going to get the same effect.

D = VC * min(1,RF/VF)-RC. Demand for commercial media exchange equals (each variable taken as a distribution), the perceived value of the commercial media times the perceived risk of free consumption divided by the perceived value of free consumption capped at one minus the perceived risk of commercial consumption.

Something to note is that a distribution minus a distribution is never zero. So no amount of applying risk to commercial consumers will ever dismantle the commercial market. This is why we've failed at the war on drugs and why prohibitions never work absolutely.

But if the risk of free is zero then you effectively multiply the demand curve by zero. This is why when you analyze it you separate the prohibition into two separate policies. The first one multiplies the demand curve (with a limit) and the second one subtracts the demand curve. Of course multiplication and subtraction work different for distributions, but you'll have to take a math course and I can't cover that here.

That formula is how you calculate the demand curve of media exchange. Remember the units of demand are dollars and its what actually motivates producers.

That min(1,RF/VF) is called the window of coordination. It's a distribution but the more like 1 it is the more the market behaves like a typical commodities market. If for everyone RF>VF then you have a plain commodities market. The curve that division usually causes is a lot like (1/x-1)*p. Where p is |RF|/|VF|. So the window, once capped, is a lot like a box around 0,0,1,1 and the curve goes through that box. The more full that box is the more media behaves like physical exchanges. When the box is zero there is no market.

I've observed, with HR, the race is usually to become the accuser. Once you say that someone else is doing something sexist, racist, otherist, it almost seems that this instantly becomes law - the accusation is true and cannot be proven false, even if you prove it's false. The only evidence offered is someone coming in, frowning and saying they feel attacked... You can come in, frown and say you weren't attacking them, but for some reason that equal evidence isn't sufficient. Additional evidence, like having a dozen other people say they didn't believe there was anything negative going on still doesn't seem to outweigh the original weight of the complaint.

It's hard to blame HR. They aren't a court. They pretty much just have to try and keep the wheels from being squeaky as best they can, but it's very easy for people to weaponise that unbalanced mix of: The total authority to fire you because of a complaint and The absolute lack of authority to investigate a complaint in full and fire the other person for raising it maliciously.

[–]Hunting-4-Answers 28 points 1 day ago Seriously? My post about the racism behind excluding an Asian husband from a Mother’s Day commercial which has a full Asian wife and a full Asian daughter snuggled up with a WM husband gets deleted and called off topic. I then get banned for it. But this post is worthy? This is not a diss at the OP. My Asian friends and I say Hola to each other once in a while for fun. It’s like saying que pasa. Or ciao. Just say something like Bon Jour next time. But to clarify, did the kid answer your questions about him playing? Was he trying to have a conversation with you or was his only goal to say Hola?

[–]My-Own-Way 8 points 1 day ago Mods, why was his post even deleted? Explain, please?

[–]Hunting-4-Answers [score hidden] 10 hours ago Lol, “low effort”. Yes, it was sarcastic, but used with the purpose as a starter to delve into a deeper discussion which I usually do with my posts. Check out the other Asian sub where I posted it. And who cares if the video I was critiquing was from 2022. It was related to Mother’s Day which was only a few days away at the time and the commercial was in heavy rotation.

[–]My-Own-Way [score hidden] 5 hours ago I saw your post the other day while scrolling and I, initially, didn’t think it was against the rules, but I haven’t had the time to read much into any posts lately. For better or for worse, the mods are looking to grow this subreddit by cracking down on a lot of posts that once were allowed to be posted on here.

[–]toskaqe 4 points 1 day ago I wasn't the one who removed it, but I can tell you it was a short sarcastic rant toward a video from 2022, with no cta, low effort and more suitable for the FFA, as per rule 9. That was May 6. His ban was unrelated. It was a 1 day timeout on May 13 as a warning for leaving a troll baiting parent comment in this thread unprovoked. I'll let you be the judge:

How does that WM see a playground as something that’s not for little girls? Is it because the area doesn’t look like his bedroom or torture basement?

And finally, today. More false accusations for attention? Look, if you want drama or controversy, it better be the good fight. But some users just want to bait yt lurkers into typing because they know they can safely escalate, play vigilante, get upvotes, and force mod action. But for what? Derailing threads for no gain is what I'd consider self sabotaging and frankly, anti-asian. Not to mention what a huge PITA it is for mods when some troll loses it and spams 50 comments/reports overnight to clean up the next day. We get enough trolls, thank you. Take that crap to other subs if you're feeling brave. Don't hostage the mods into fighting your battles for you.

That's not really: "On the other hand", that's a bit of a misunderstanding of how those statistics would work. For them to be a simple 1 to 1, women would have to pass equally as many bears in the street each day as they do men, at which stage you could say: "See? Far fewer woman are killed by bears!"

... Except that I suspect you'd be saying: "Holy shit, we need to do something about all the bears killing people in the street!".

As for bears being aggressive, I think that's as much case by case as the average man is. Mother bear with cubs near by? Guess you'll die. Hungry and you're hanging around? Sadly, I hear bears eat people alive, so it won't be over quickly. On the other hand, it could be a warm, summer day, no cubs, no mating season, plenty of food and the bear will trundle pass utterly indifferent to you. It's pretty hard to predict. Unlike a man, you can't really ask a bear what it's doing or why it's there, and baring you having a big'ol gun, that kind of ends your autonomy to address the bear situation. After that it's all down to how the bear feels about you in that specific moment.

Yeah, sure, Trump isn’t great.

Indeed. As far from it as the US has seen in my lifetime.

But Biden is a dumpster fire.

In what way? Supporting gay rights?

Either way our country is going to collapse, but it will collapse faster under Biden.

That's ridiculous. Trump tried to overthrow the democracy last time. You can't collapse it faster than that.

The most relevant bit.

In 2021, former NEWS anchor, Ryan Harper, claimed in the San Francisco Chronicle that he created this video as a short film. But has provided no clear evidence to substantiate this claim. And if it is a hoax, then it appears to be disinformation, False information deliberately spread to employ strategic deceptions to advance political, military, or commercial goals. Because in 2009, Dean Hamer lectured at Marlboro College about this same subject.

Allow me to clarify. First, I am a gay man, legally married to another man for over a decade.

However, there are many other issues that are more important to me, especially when the major lgbT issues on the table right now concern intrusive demands I don’t believe in. Especially those of trans people.

I am more concerned about the widening economic gap between rich and poor, concentration of wealth and value in fewer hands, the centralization of control of almost everything that matters, unchecked immigration, and the right of the common man or woman to be left alone: whether you’re gay or straight, or even a straight person who doesn’t want to be around gay people.

Yeah, sure, Trump isn’t great. But Biden is a dumpster fire. Either way our country is going to collapse, but it will collapse faster under Biden. Maybe that’s a reason to vote for him, just so we can get it over with more quickly.

The sudden free-fall collapse of 3 WTC towers into their own footprint. Which is evidence for a controlled demolition.

Or of the collapse of the top floors onto each of the floors below, causing them to collapse.

So fine-controlled demolition, that there was no damage to other buildings.

Except the destroyed St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Marriott World Trade Center (Marriott Hotel 3 WTC), South Plaza (4 WTC), and U.S. Customs (6 WTC), and the damaged World Financial Center buildings and 90 West Street, and 130 Cedar Street.

The WTC-dust also contained oxidizers that indicate demolition.

Although there's no evidence that that dust came from the WTC site.

The Pentagon's administration was damaged. And that destroyed the possibility to track down 21 trillion dollars.

Did it though?

Your comment really got me thinking....

Lyrics: https://yessaid.com/lyrics/covers/iran.html

The cloud is moving nearer still
Aurora borealis comes in view
Aurora comes in view
And I ran, I ran so far away....

Is it a coincidence that we southerners recently saw the Aurora borealis for the first time in our lives? Is that a sign to look for when it's time to run?

The world interprets this song as they want, to attribute the changes they see to aliens and the sudden disappearance from view as abductions. But many will suddenly disappear.... they will go far away, when the Lord returns in the clouds to rescue those faithfully waiting for him.

The devil knows the plan and has a counter-plan to keep the others from coming to the truth. Did you notice the Flock of Seagulls styled the hair of one of them to look like devil horns?

I hope you will not be one of those deceived by the lies.

It should. But you probably won't see much impact because it is only Germany. I have the misfortune of being an econ-nerd. You know, the dismal science that constantly tells you the opposite of what you want to hear. One problem is that any ban on a media is the same as two separate policies, one applies risk to paying parties, and another applies risk to non-paying parties. The issue is that applying risk to non-paying parties is identical to copyright policy from an economic point of view. The intent of policy is always irrelevant to economics. Same policy with different intent gives the same results. Demand doesn't actually coordinate with supply in media exchanges until you apply that risk. That's why copyright exists.

But the deminishment of demand from Germany is not going to relinquish the demand from everywhere else so commercial production is going to continue.

I live in a swing state, am friendly to LGB rights

Did you support the Equality Act? Trump didn't

Did you support anti LGBT justices? Trump did.

Did you support the legalization of workplace discrimination against gay employees? The Trump administration did

Do you think transgender people should be able to serve in the military? Trump banned them.

Do you support Obama era non-discrimination protections? Trump rolled them back.

Do you think federal contractors should be able to fire people based on their sexual orientation or gender identity? Trump allowed them to do that.

The list goes on and on.

and still voting for Trump.

Clearly not for his policies on LGBTQ matters then. What convinced you to vote for the rapist, who is too old to stay awake in court?

Here is an observation from my test. Google still will not show me the results as I specify by only adding &udm=14 to the URL. Example query:

Gabael Raphael

Google insists on showing me results for Gabael Gabriel. It is autocorrecting the queries. The search engine does disclose this:

Including results for Gabriel Raphael
Search only for Gabael Raphael

If I select the option to search only for Gabael Raphael, the search engine continue to slip in results with Gabriel instead of Gabael.

The best trick I know of in Google search (and I rarely use Google) is to specify verbatim mode.
