My body my choice, keep your laws out of my reproductive system! - Wait, not like that! Woman suing sperm donor for being prolific. by ClassroomPast6178 in TumblrInAction

A Dutch musician is facing court in a bid to get him to stop his 'obsessive' sperm donating amid claims he has fathered hundreds of children around the world.

Jonathan Jacob Meijer, 41, has misled hundreds of women all over the world and may have fathered nearly 550 children, according to the Donorkind Foundation, which is suing him.

Mr Meijer, from The Hague, Netherlands, was blacklisted in 2017 after the Dutch Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology warned he had fathered 102 children via ten different clinics in the Netherlands.

But he continued to donate abroad in Denmark and Ukraine and offered his services through websites and social media, according to the Dutch news website AD.

Eva, the Dutch woman at the centre of the court case, had a child by Mr Meijer in 2018 and said it made her feel 'sick to her stomach' that he had fathered so many children.

She said: 'If I had known he had already fathered more than 100 children I would never have chosen him.

'If I think about the consequences this could have for my child I am sick to my stomach.

'Many mothers have told him he needs to stop, but nothing helps. So going to court is the only option I have to protect my child.'

Eva and the Donorkind Foundation want to stop Mr Meijer donating and to find out exactly which clinics he has donated sperm to.

They have accused Mr Meijer of 'lying' to hundreds of women about the number of children he has fathered.

Eva also wants all his sperm still in storage to be destroyed, unless it has been reserved for a woman who already has one of his children.

Ties van der Meer, the foundation's chairman, said: 'We are taking action against this man because national government is doing nothing.

'He has a global reach via internet and he does business with large, international sperm banks.'

Donorkind's lawyer Mark de Hek said: 'This behavior is dangerous for the mental well-being and health of donor children. By preferring his reproductive urge, the donor is acting unlawfully.

'In addition, he violates the agreements with the clinics and with the prospective parents, because they trusted his promise that he would father a maximum of 25 children.'

I’m sympathetic to your point.

Civil disobedience only works when the authorities punish the behaviour, society-at-large then sees the injustice of the punishment and pushes the authorities to change. This necessitates those protesting be punished, the authorities failing to punish civil disobedience renders it no longer civil disobedience (a law that is unenforced is no law, a law enforced selectively is unjust). For the civil disobedience to achieve its aim, the reversal of the bathroom mandate in this case, wider society needs to see that what is happening to the children is both ridiculous and unjust, and for that to happen they have to complain about the punishment.

So whilst I think they’re right to publicise and complain about their punishment, they should have entered their protest knowing that they faced it and been a little more stoic about it.

[–]Alienhunter 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Communism isn't free cheese.

Communism is where the mice take over the cheese factory and run it themselves.

Then they have problems running it, they try to build a windmill, but they try to make it out of cheese, then some mice figure out that they should get more cheese because their job of organizing the other mice is hard and requires a certain abundance of excess cheese so they allocate themselves more cheese. Then if course they see that there's a problem where other mice don't like that they are taking more than their fair share of cheese so they outsource some of their cheese to their former human masters in exchange for some mouse traps to catch the dirty mice stealing the cheese from their factory.

I am now almost completely cut off from anything even remotely spiritual. Even day-to-day creativity, intuition, problem solving skills, strength, and the ability to make good decisions are lost. I can just forget about lucid dreaming or anything like that; and if I do come close, I am confused and shortly after forcefully pulled out. They are watching my every move and controlling every aspect of my life to make sure I don't try anything funny. It's frustrating, because I used to be very in tune with it all, and still am by nature; but I'm blocked off. What's even more concerning is that The Matrix links me to Neo in a number of ways, along with other similar media.

As soon as I started catching on that reality doesn't make sense is when I seemed to be put under supermax security. Unfortunately it doesn't include being tied up and gagged in some room or chained to a dungeon wall; then I'd at least enjoy it.

It doesn't have to be all bad for it to be malicious. In fact if it were all bad it would be too obvious. Take it from "the Architect" himself, who tried both good and bad extremes for the matrix.

Like people whine and complain about the state of US mass transit as a great example. And for good reason. US mass transit is shit. Like every ride the subway in LA? Jesus Christ it's like not even 3rd world. It's like, 5th world. I can't even.

And it's clearly not for lack of money, the system has loads of money you can see all the expensive unnecessary infrastructure they built, it's just like, utterly insane the decisions they made with it. No restrooms in the stations? Who the fuck is gonna wanna use it. Build stations in the middle of busy freeways? Wtf? Major transfer station in fucking Compton of all places? You wanna get shot changing trains? And goddamn no ticket gates at a lot of the stations? Well you're just asking for it to be a homeless encampment at that point. My god.

It's like an utter failure of anyone to sit down and actually think "why do we need a mass transit system, who is going to want to use it" throwing more money at it would just result in more expensive looking stations that aren't used by anyone except the homeless who need a place to sleep.

Now I'm also all for using tax money to give the homeless a place to sleep, but can it not be a train station? Can we like get them a sanitarium please?

She was joking. You know she's not taking credit for that. You also know that US-led NATO troops and others were in Libya for reasons unrelated to her. And you know Israel wagged the dog on for that and other middle east conflicts. It's not that difficult to read memes that juxtapose unrelated images. You also know I'm not a neoconservative by any stretch of your feeble imagination. You know all of this and still prefer to make your usual ad hominem attacks. Weak. Remember when you banned users for their ad hominem statements? Remember that you did not ban the far right assholes who made ad hominem statements? Good that those days at Saidit are over...

Most likely. Excluding Matthew and probably Mark. And all the gospel books are assembled from fragments in different languages. I haven't looked into it too much but there was also a Hebrew Revelation, James, and Jude found; and there does seem to be something to it, but I think those books are all forgeries anyway. There is a Hebrew Hebrews but I haven't really looked into that at all. Paul is pure Greek.

School tells students who are uncomfortable with their transgender bathroom policy to use the single stall in nurse's office. 150 students do just that and now they're being threatened with disciplinary action. by P-38lightning in TumblrInAction

Is it a protest? It just seems like the natural result of the their decision.

School said anyone who felt uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with a trans person should use the unisex bathroom. And so everyone who felt uncomfortable with it did that. Now the school is complaining about it.

I'd go stand in line for the unisex bathroom in solidarity with the kids getting harassed for doing what the school told them to do. This is sexual harassment essentially. You are telling the kids that you pretty much have to"go feel uncomfortable in the bathroom" or you get marked off your class. That creates a toxic learning environment that benefits nobody.

I don't really give a fuck if some girl who thinks she's a boy comes into the men's room, I'm going to do my business and leave and ignore them. But the reason I don't give a fuck is that I don't feel threatened, I'll go straight to the admin with a sexual harassment complaint the first time they do anything that makes me feel uncomfortable. Because I'm an asshole.

The poor non-assholes of the world who feel a strange and unexplainable desire to be nice to people are then placed in a shit situation where they've got to put up with this shit at the expense of their own mental health or else face disciplinary action. This is retarded obviously. Because the easy solution is simple. Let the trans kid use the unisex bathroom. This is the best way to handle it and to make everyone at the very least able to continue on with the least disruption to the educational environment.

Or just don't identify as trans and keep using the vagina bathroom. Again I don't care what your personal life choices are here frankly until they start to effect the overall social order. Bathrooms are segregated by sex not gender. Unisex bathroom is a fairly smart compromise since it's relatively good at providing a place for people to get their business done with no bullshit if they're too "special" to use their restroom assigned at birth. Or if they're handicapped and they need more space. Are you othering the wheelchair user if you make a special bathroom just for them? It's not supposed to be a social destination.

I understand in highschool kids use the bathroom to smoke have sex and otherwise be little cunts but bone of those are legitamate reasons for why you shouldn't just use the unisex bathroom if you've got a problem with the "sexual binary" or whatever your hangups with biological reality are.

That's that same Old Testament law. Even you who recognize its faults give it a pass when it comes to this. You have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes.

If most people really go to a better place, then why does nearly everyone show signs of having many past lives? And how could anyone possibly not have debts to pay? The WLT theory gives us a possibility for a way out; otherwise we're completely helpless and at the mercy of these evil powers. Don't make excuses for why the world is so awful.

Well obviously. If you're going to design a trap, you give it bait that the victim will be attracted to, not run away from.

I don't buy it. The WLT theory gives evil extraordinary powers over us. I believe once we're done here, we go to a better place, although there are exceptions depending on what you've done, and there are also debts charged or debts occurred while down here.

Yes I am quite familiar with Marcion's Bible. It's something they don't want you to know about because it's full of clues about what older copies of the books he used looked like. I also managed to locate Matthew in Hebrew, another source for which there seems to be a conspiracy to discredit. It seems Mark may actually have been written in Latin, because its old Latin has quite a few strange agreements with the Hebrew Matthew, not to mention the writing style. There's a lot you're not supposed to know about, but I've found it.

First of all half of it's forgery, second the Jews conflated every God they knew of. They became so hyperfocused on the issue of idolatry that they merged every pagan god with the true one.

Now when something is cryptic, it tends to not be an accurate portrayal of reality. It's code for something else, so the rulers can't understand it. The exodus probably never happened, but an exodus from the matrix sure will. I'm serious, "Pharaoh" is a completely obvious representation of the demiurge once you make the connection. There's the Eden tale which is clearly a warning to avoid law and judgement. There are lots of examples. I know Paul definitely saw the Bible that way, based on Galatians 4. Some of the tales are indeed very shocking, but remember that sort of thing was commonplace in the author's time.

They're the riled up activists using their kids as political messaging tools. You'll see them off frame encouraging the kids.

It works well until the child is old enough to think for themselves. Then about half the time the kid is going to develop their own ideology, start seeing the holes in the parents ideology, and begin to resent the parent for using them in this way. Depends on how far down the rabbit hole and crazy they are though. A lot of the parents that go along with this don't see it as degeneracy since they're well into drinking the pop-culture cool side which tends to gloss over the more unsavory elements of all of this.

Like I'm totally on board with "let's not bully the gay kids or the kids that identify as transgender" that kind of cruel bullying is wrong regardless of who you are doing it towards.

But I'm not very accepting of the gay kids, or the transgender kids, not because I hate them, but rather I find it very very odd that anyone below the age of puberty would have a public facing sexual orientation or identity. And I see it as a very pointed red flag for potential child abuse.

Teenagers are slightly different. I might believe a 16 year old that tells me they feel gay is not being unduly influenced by others. But I'm not sure what we accomplish as a society by celebrating sexual orientations at all. I think in general shining a spotlight on people's preferred nocturnal activities merely leads to less total social cohesion in general.
