Not really in elementary school. By middle school I had encountered random black violence and had a relative and knew of a couple neighbors murdered by them, and by high school had seen enough and experienced enough I no longer had any illusions about the reality, although like a good little brainwashed white American I was still partially convinced that it was our fault. I didn't really finally give up until sometime between the Trayvon/Michael Brown bullshit and the Floyd riots.

Never had any problems with any other race, and I hate to admit it, but I learned in the military that the scariest motherfuckers on the planet can be white people when they are in an environment that encourages them to be violent, mainly because they are the most competent at it.
