Most farmers aren't too particular on what they are growing, more how much they are getting paid to grow it.

If the market switches from corn to hay/grain for livestock (to produce tallow) there will be no issue so long as the profit per/acre remains. The government has to adjust the subsidies accordingly.

Here in PEI we are famous for potatoes. In the last decade the demand for soy bean has increased along with the returns for growing it. We have seen many farmers pivot to a potato/soy bean mix.

What if we already knew the 6 million total death toll through other means, and we just didn't divide it up correctly across the camps?

As usual, Oyveygoyim is trying to dazzle you with bullshit.

In this case, there is a half-truth that early after the end of World War Two, the Polish government -- not Jews -- tried to claim 4 million victims at Auschwitz alone, most of which were Polish Catholics not Jews. Even in the 1950s, historians thought that number was excessive and implausible, and even the Polish government didn't really believe the claim because they only charged Rudolf Höß with 2.8 million deaths in his role as commandant of Auschwitz. (Even that number was too high. A better estimate is about 1.1 million at Auschwitz, maybe as high as 1.5, but certainly not 4.)

Eventually even the Poles quietly dropped the claim that most of the victims at Auschwitz were non-Jewish Poles and accepted the same number as everyone else.

So Oyveygoyim's claim is false in at least four ways:

• the "four million" figure for Auschwitz was always controversial, the Polish government pushed it but most historians thought it was far too high
• it was never included in the six million, because historians didn't accept the method the Poles used to come up with four million
• it wasn't four million Jews, but included mostly Polish Catholics
• and it certainty wasn't invented by Jews.

Since the "four million" was never included in the estimate of six million Jews, removing it doesn't change the total, and Oyveygoyim's little puzzle proves exactly nothing.

Oyveygoyim says that nobody has ever answered this challenge, but that's a lie. I've answered it at least twice, here and here. And if you google "Auschwitz four million" you will find plenty of websites and news articles about this.

This Reddit thread, written by an actual historian, explains in detail how we know that there were about 6 million Jews killed, how the Poles came up with their figure of 4 million, and why nobody thought that was accurate.
