So even nowadays, I wouldn't put calculus the same as most mathematics on middle-school curricula.

e.g.: See, addition itself is a function.(Even more in fact, it is an operator in a mathematical sense: So once, we have associativity (left or right, this is a simple decision by definition) "out of our way", we could dive into, how to sum up most curves, values and basically everything continuous, which 99.5% of useful appliances in fact are because continuity is a very weak assumption about a function. (Especially once you got some corollaries in your arsenal, that are as easy to prove, as to understand)

When compared with differentiability, which usually is taught first, it is in fact quite easy to understand, but kind of hard to grasp, once you look at applications. Differentiability itself nonetheless is kind of a "hard" assumption, that puts about 80% of "real" applications out of its focus, as long as you have to apply it on a middle-school or undergrad-level.

So, if you want to hear my unsolicited opinion:

I'd divide math-classes in middle-school, about 9th grade.

Those "who want" and those "who don't" and I'd go easy on both of these groups.

I think the people wanting drag performances for children are wrong and those wanting to ban drag are wrong.

I have zero problem with adults enjoying adult entertainment but the key word is adult.

I know that Queer Theory is all about breaking taboos, and I suspect that that’s the whole point of exposing children to increasingly sexual situations and experiences, whether that be teachers dressing up like rejects from the Ringling Brothers (no school I’ve worked at would allow staff to dress like I see the teachers on LibsofTikTok) and discussing their sexual preferences and “gender identity” (never once have I felt the need to do that with my classes, and find it uncomfortable to answer even tame questions like “are you married?” and the follow up “why aren’t you married?”) or inviting in drag performers and discussing transgenderism. It’s all there to acclimatise children to these topics and it’s suspect as hell.

Ron DeSantis Plans To Defund Diversity Programs In Florida Universities

The governor and potential 2024 presidential hopeful laid out a list of higher education “reforms” his administration aims to carry out, including banning DEI programs that help universities create a more supportive and inclusive space for staff and students from marginalized backgrounds. The state legislature will need to approve the plans before they go into effect.

“We are also going to eliminate all DEI and [critical race theory] bureaucracies in the state of Florida. No funding, and that will wither on the vine,” DeSantis said. “And I think that that’s very important because it really serves as an ideological filter, a political filter.”

The governor equated mandatory DEI trainings as “imposing an agenda” that constitutes “a drain on resources,” and claimed that having universities include diversity statements is no different than “making people take a political oath.”

The announcement is DeSantis’ latest attempt at turning Florida’s higher education spaces into incubators for far-right ideas. The governor has already unsuccessfully tried to ban workplace diversity initiatives. He also pushed right-wing higher education officials to ban discussions of “critical race theory” and prides himself on the state’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law, which prohibits public school teachers from discussing sexual orientation or gender identity.

Last week, the Florida Board of Education approved a training for public schools that focuses on preventing children from reading books about racial justice and books with LGBTQ themes. Taiwan could be like a popular retirement destination for some mainland chinese as long as their numbers are reasonbly restrained so the indigenous tribes have a bigger voice. Diplomatic ties and cultural exchanges between china and taiwan would be harmonious because there is no reason for the cpc to retain taiwan once the threat of the merican cancer is gone.
