Sure the complexity will make so nasty code can still hide in the system but it's a whole new ballgame.

One of the big problems at sea is that people literally aren't watching where they're going.

On small ships there's lookouts to watch out for the large, autopiloted ships that often has ONE guy on the bridge, hopefully minding his job and not sipping coffee while he reads a book or takes a break. The longest time I've seen a freighter take to respond to radio calls is 15 minutes and roughly a few minutes from disaster.

On large ships they have radars that picks up medium large ships and lookouts to spot small ships and floating debris that can damage the large ship. Sometimes they simply don't see small ships, particularly in dark or rough conditions. Most times there's only one lookout and sometimes he needs a quick toilet break.

It's a problem to the point where marine shops sells extra radar reflectors to mount on your small vessel to increase your chances of showing up on larger ships.

While I consider the chances of foul play to be high, I have no doubt he could have been hit by a larger vessel that never even noticed, breaking his flimsy plastic boat while his hardened, watertight safebox or soft and bendable drybag floats on.

Much more likely than a small leak that made him sink imo

A man crushed to death in a NYC elevator accident by roger in WatchPeopleDie

[–]pacman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

These are apartments not condos. In Manhattan, many of the buildings are very old turn of the century designs. Manhattan real estate also has a tremendous amount of foreign investment by companies with little interest in maintenance or upgrades, and they just want cash out of the building. The fact that these are expensive apartments means nothing. Fortunately tenants do have rights in NYC and hopefully this building owner is taken to the cleaners. My guess the elevator needed complete replacement which would have been very expensive if it also required building code upgrades.

Edit: Nope - Building was constructed in 1997 making this even weirder. Somebody cheaped out on the elevator or bad installation. Either way, landlord still didn't want to invest after many complaints. Hopefully a prosecution and a lawsuit.

The deceased was from a family of doctors.

Was Aaron Swartz Killed By An MIT Satanic Child Porn Ring (January 2013) by EndlessSunflowers in conspiracy

[–]d3rr 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ahh, yeah that is a tangible connection between MIT and Epstein. It's sad that Marvin Minsky went to the island, he is a huge towering figure in the history of computing and AI.

Still though, Swartz never mentioned the media lab and explicitly told us what he was doing- "pirating" JSTOR scientific documents.

To me it's a huge stretch to assume that an Epstein connection means there is "satanic child porn", or documents concerning this hidden group, stored on the official MIT network. That would be colossally dumb of them to do.

I guess it's a good thing we're all talking about Swartz again, but now it seems that taxpayer access to taxpayer funded research is taking a back seat.

Edit: hmm Aaron's dad actually worked for the Media Lab

The Media Lab is a curious choice of a target. The Lab has long employed Swartz's father Robert as an intellectual property consultant. The Lab organized a remembrance for Swartz shortly after his death.

https://www.cctvcambridge.org/MediaLabWebSitesDefaced

So if Aaron was digging into the Media Lab, his dad would have mentioned it or would have covered up about it? Maybe I'll have to re-watch all footage of the dad. Probably won't tho :)

Godwins law, though this media retoric is quite different. Becasue instead of bringing Hitler up in a random argument, the media is throwing the term NAZI around to define peoplem, who most certainly are not members of the National Socialist German Workers Party. They simply do it to simply confuse their audience. The NAZI term was slang for the National Socialist Germans Workers Party, a term used well before Hitler EVER ROSE TO POWER. It was used by Lawyer and Zionist Samuel Untermyer, who helped to create the scofield bible, which created the Christian Zionism we see today. He was also a key figure in the creation of the Federal Reserve. ZIonists created the term when the National Socialists were a small minority party in Germany and elsewhere.

Zionists continue to use it today to whitewash their opposition.

Just swallowed 50 mg and gonna have a drink with it. Had a blast last night tripping and making dinner. Kids knew we were drinking but not sure if they suspected anything else. One of my sons wanted to extract some dmt so we did that and he keeps bugging me about when we are gonna do it. Not sure he realizes what he's in for with that stuff.

Ukrainian authorities are investigating a potential security breach at a local nuclear power plant

So Yes, but to be sure, Hackers != Cyber-criminals, and would never do something stupid... but Cyber-criminals/terrorists/egdelord-script-kiddies might want to and can do a lot of terrible stupid stuff, and stupid combined with nuclear power is horrible.

Awesome documentary, but be aware that the maker of this documentary is controlled. His newer documentaries are filled with propaganda and half-truths.
