Information is neither matter nor energy so it doesn't break relativity if you find a way to get it somewhere faster than light. Problem is we transmit information via matter or energy.

Quantum entanglement works by having two entangled bits essentially, (how you entangle stuff is far beyond my ability to comprehend) You essentially get a state where you've got two objects in opposite states. Say one is up and one is down. But you don't know which is which. You only know they are in opposite states.

So if you take the two objects to opposite ends of the universe they remain entangled and you can "see" what the other one is by measuring yours and figure out what yours is not. But this is like sending information faster than light by say, cutting a standard deck of playing cards in two, and figuring out what is in the other deck by a matter of deduction. Or taking two lotto scratchers one winning and one losing and randomly giving them to two people, once someone scratches that they instantly know what the other one is. But no matter or energy has traveled faster than light.

Now if you can find some way to manipulate a quantum bit back and forth in a way that manipulates the other bit. Yeah you'd be in possession of some weird FTL communication device. That would open up some freaky causality issues though. The least of which is the question of when. When do the bits flip? Do they flip in your reference frame of now? The reference frame of a distant observer? Perhaps the initial reference frame they shared when originally entangled?

It's pretty much impossible to say as I don't think we've managed to make anything like that yet. We can just entangle stuff and see what it is and then guess what the other one is.

Basically everyone thinks black lives matter, in the sense that people's lives matter even if they are black. Very few overt racists left in the world. Most are probably in this thread.

Black Lives Matter as a slogan/ movement is a grift designed to sell T shirts and divert the working class from directing their anger towards the ruling class and towards other members of the working class.

Needlessly complicates and obfuscates a real issue, that being inner city violence and police brutality, with a vague social concept, racism, and makes it difficult to deal with the initial problem.

White kids get shot by white cops, nobody cares, black kids shot by black cops. Story disappears quickly as nobody jumps on the racism bandwagon. White cop kills black kid. Media circus for years. Profiteering off of urban violence. Absolutely disgusting.

There's loads of cases where the police just go all out ham with over use of force and kill people. There's other cases where it's justified, like when people are shooting at the cops. Perhaps we all just need to step back and consider how we deal with this violence issue?

I think the easiest solution to that is to pay cops more. A lot more. It's a fucking dangerous job, nobody is gonna want to do it if they've got better options available with how it pays now, except for those people that get off on having authority.

The spike protiens produced by the virus are not free floating, they are part of the protective membrane of the virus. That makes them easier to clean up for the immine system. There are also far less of them produced in a natural infection.

It is also the fact that the mRNA injection infects other cells that makes the vaccine so harmful. It directly attacks blood vessle cells and heart cells. These do not get infected by covid.

All political orientations lead to authoritarianism at their extremes. Even an anarchist must adopt authoritarian approaches to enforcing anarchy should they wish to actually live in an anarchist society, which is of course a paradox in and of itself.

The problem is there are a great many things where it does matter if someone chooses to do something. In fact one can argue that everything a person chooses to do matters. This then becomes a debate into what is the roll of the individual and what is their duty to society.

I tend to be far more on the "let's let people do what they want want see how it works out for them before we decide if we need to ban it or not" side of the fence, but I'm still on the "we do need to ban certain things" side.

A good example of this is drugs, I can see a highly regulated form of even hard addictive drugs being legalized as not causing harm to society, but as you can see in many places where it isn't enforced, legal or not widespread drug use can be a major civil and safety issue. It also is one of those issues where the urban poor suffer the most both directly and indirectly and it does serve as a major barrier to them being able to better themselves. You can't really access society to the same extent when you need to worry about getting jumped by a meth head.

Now I don't think we are going to benefit society much from going out and mass arresting the meth heads. That's only benefitial if they are all given treatment. Something I doubt the government can manage well.

Do I'm largely in favor with the "decriminalization" argument, but with a major caveat, in that you don't arrest people, but you still confiscate the drugs when you find them.

This is of course best managed at a lower level of government. There's no need to go about policing drug use in areas where there is no drug problem to begin with.

Obesity increased due to COVID lockdowns, so did sedentary activities like video games. Both can be suspected to contribute to higher death rates.

We certainly have to deal with a highly censorious internet and restricted public capacity for discussion. However, we cannot simply say that because something is being censored that means it's true. Governments love to censor both lies and the truth. One can argue that the current censorious fervor is driven by fear of low vaccine adoption rates leading to increased death and disease transmission. Or one can argue it's due to profit motive and a desire to protect large corporations and the government from backlash. I suspect there's truth behind both of these explanations. The core of it I think, is the average person tends to be quite stupid and will believe either what is being told to them without question, or will assume everything being told to them by authority is false. Both are fools.
