The only requirement for membership in AA is a desire to stop drinking, or at least that's the lie that they tell you to get you to show up.

When you arrive in AA, they tell you what the other requirements are.. 1) a book 2) a sponsor 3) work the steps 4) get a higher power and pray to it 5) go to meetings

When in fact the only thing that you have to do to be a complete success as a recovering alcoholic is to quit drinking.

I almost think their goal is to keep you confused and walking around in circles, because then and only then do the treatment centers look like sources where you can achieve success.

If You just simply stop drinking 99% of your problems will evaporate.

No idea what kind of butterfly's it was but long ago every September we had millions of them flying south and our yard was covered with them, around 1990 we started seeing less and less. In 2000 we had a few thousands fly passed and I wondered why.
