Similarly here in communist Canada they generate voter eligibility lists from government access sites (our version of the DMV) if however there is some mistake made and you don't appear on the list at the time of voting you need only present your vailed government ID and you can be added on the spot.

I understand that in some states they have started handing out driver license to non residents however, a simple indicator added to these licenses could indicate their ineligibility to vote.
