Because the US tricked Iran into building nuclear power infrastructure and then tried to use the nuclear fuel as a way to control Iran, now Iran has 300 centrifuges that should be capable of creating the fuel needs of the whole planet if it was to go to nuclear power in a real way. But it angered the US that Iran entered the market and gave choice and price competition to the nuclear fuel market.

I think a lot of the fear created around nuclear as a choice for energy is just a fear campaign. If the rulers could stop acting like greedy children I think nuclear power is the way to go. Modern nuclear power production has to be much safer than these concepts we have of 50 years old plants.

The "instead of assimilating" part is a rather bland and undisputed fact, since it's Democrats who've been claiming for a couple of decades now that assimilation is racism. I suppose you could argue Democrats are also right-wing, though I didn't think that's what you meant.

I don't care who says it (and yes Dems are RW), that statement has always been a whistle (Just look up Ozawa v. United States and Takuji Yamashita v. Hinkle). Furthermore "Assimilation" is one of those terms that can mean something different to every person that says/hears it; For some areas like "China town" are proof that the migrants that live there refuse to "assimilate" and for others it's proof that they "assimilated" just fine. For Some it means "they respect/follow the laws and concepts of the country" while for others it means "become exactly like us including in faith."...etc.

Keep in mind it's not always explicitly "Racism" in the most rigid sense of the word, the same was said about Italians, Irish....etc. It's always been a whistle to point to a reason to "Fear the other" with the "other" being a convenient target to distract from the real villains.

It's a whistle not a "bland and undisputed fact".
