(but women are not violent)

If we're speaking in generalities, then of course they are. Just not as frequently as men are.

As for this lady. Her gender shouldn't matter. The intent to harm was there, even if intoxicated. She should've spent at least a few days in a holding cell.

[–]Mcheetah 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

"Bad" is relative to the observer. If you ask me, I'd say 99% of people in this world are selfish and objectively worthless to the species and contribute literally nothing of value to humanity. But that's because I'm cynical and jaded. If you asked most people, they'd probably say something like "Most people are just trying to live their lives and make their way home" or some Joan Osborne rhetoric. As long as you're not trying to rape anyone or diddle kids, I won't consider someone to be a "bad person," but I still do think most people are too self-absorbed to be anything you'd call "good." You've probably spent too much time on social media, regardless if you're not an American or actually are.

Also, as a American-born citizen, I guarantee you my ass grew up broker than you. Unless you too went dumpster diving behind fast food restaurants and had to eat processed, bullshit Dollar Tree "food" for large chunks of your life.

I remember. Suddenly and out of the blue there were new "contributors" to Github projects everywhere who weren't actually coders. They'd like make a spelling correction in a readme file and declare themselves part of the project. They'd create issue tickets and threads fighting over the inclusivity or whatever of a project's contributors and fought to establish those "codes of conduct" which basically amounted to "if you do or say anything we find offensive then you're out". They got people to start changing the name of their master branches to "main" because "master" was of course offensive to black people.

It all felt very coordinated, especially coming not too long after the whole GamerGate debacle, which exposed at least one cabal of SJW cultural saboteurs.

Colorful Transformation: Navigating the Side Effects of Frequent Hair Coloring - APM Logix by kiranrao01 in news

In the quest for beauty and self-expression, many individuals turn to hair coloring as a means to reinvent their appearance. From subtle highlights to bold, vibrant hues, the spectrum of possibilities seems endless. Yet, amidst the allure of a fresh coat of color, lies a lesser-known narrative – the side effects of frequent hair coloring.

The Temptation of Transformation The desire to experiment with hair color is understandable. It’s a simple yet effective way to transform one’s appearance, boost confidence, and reflect personal style. Whether it’s covering grays, following trends, or expressing individuality, the allure of a new hair color is undeniable. However, frequent coloring can have consequences that extend beyond the salon chair.

The Price of Permanence: Hair Damage Repeated exposure to hair dye can take a toll on the health of your locks. Most hair coloring products contain chemicals such as ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, which work to penetrate the hair shaft and alter its natural pigment. While these ingredients are essential for achieving lasting color results, they can also cause damage to the hair cuticle, leading to dryness, breakage, and overall weakening of the hair structure.

The Battle Against Breakage Hair coloring, particularly when done frequently or with harsh chemicals, can compromise the integrity of the hair, making it more prone to breakage. Over time, this can result in noticeable thinning, frizz, and split ends, detracting from the overall appearance of your mane. Additionally, excessive coloring may exacerbate existing hair issues, such as dryness or brittleness, making it a vicious cycle of damage and repair.

Scalp Sensitivity: Irritation and Allergic Reactions The scalp is a sensitive area, and frequent exposure to hair dye can lead to irritation and allergic reactions. Chemicals present in hair coloring products can cause redness, itching, and even inflammation of the scalp, making the coloring process an uncomfortable experience for some individuals. In severe cases, allergic reactions may manifest as blistering or swelling, requiring medical attention to alleviate symptoms.

Fading Brilliance: Color Frustration Despite the initial allure of vibrant, freshly colored locks, the reality is that hair color fades over time. Frequent coloring sessions may be necessary to maintain desired results, leading to a cycle of chemical exposure and potential damage. Additionally, factors such as sun exposure, heat styling, and washing frequency can accelerate color fading, resulting in dull, lackluster strands that fail to capture the intended vibrancy.

Finding Balance: Healthy Hair Care Practices While the allure of frequent hair coloring is undeniable, it’s essential to prioritize the health and integrity of your hair. Finding a balance between self-expression and hair health is key to enjoying the benefits of coloring without experiencing undue side effects. Here are some tips for maintaining healthy, vibrant hair:

Limit Frequency: Space out hair coloring sessions to minimize chemical exposure and allow hair to recover between treatments. Choose Quality Products: Opt for hair coloring products that prioritize hair health, using ammonia-free or gentle formulations when possible. Prioritize Hair Care: Invest in nourishing hair care products specifically designed for color-treated hair to maintain hydration and prevent damage. Protective Styling: Minimize heat styling and use protective measures such as heat protectant sprays or styling tools with adjustable temperature settings. Consult a Professional: Seek guidance from a qualified hairstylist who can recommend personalized color options and provide advice on maintaining hair health. Embracing Change, Safely Hair coloring is a powerful tool for self-expression and transformation, but it’s essential to approach it with caution and awareness of potential side effects. By prioritizing hair health and adopting healthy hair care practices, you can enjoy the beauty of colored locks while minimizing the risk of damage. Remember, true beauty radiates from within, and healthy hair is the ultimate canvas for self-expression.

Ted Lieu allegedly channeled campaign funds for personal use by Questionable in politics

Trump is currently sitting in a kangaroo court for an imaginary felony predicted on time-barred misdemeanors tied to his alleged misuse of campaign funds.

They're not claiming that he didn't falsify business records to hide the payments to Stormy Daniels?

They're claiming that he did, but that it's only an imaginary felony?

There's three other criminal cases against him too. Seems likely to me that the cause of that is his crimes rather than the law being wrong.

Bitcoin will never replace the gold standard. The 1MB block size limits every 10 minutes to about 2000 transactions, or less than 300,000 transactions per day. If most people started using it ... say 3 billion people, for ease of calculation, they could only each make a transaction every 10,000 days on average. Or something like once every 27 years.

You can buy and sell gold however often you can find a buyer.
