Everywhere you go you will find bot content. Its so prominent here because of how little legit content is making bot content stand out more.

They just keep taking on different IP addresses until they find one that works. I actually built a system that auto-detects spam accounts and blocks their IP, but they change IP literally every single request, to a completely different IP in a different country. It's indistinguishable from regular traffic, especially since so many saidit users use vpns. It's a good idea, but at best it would only reduce the spam by half at most, and probably only for a few months until they find IPs that work and then it'll be back to normal. I used to block huge IP ranges and whole countries back 4 years ago or so, but it literally did nothing after a few days. The person or group generating most of the spam can mimic any IP address, they're not just using VPNs. Literally the only solution seems to be to look at what they post and ban them for that, but that's exactly the game of whack-a-mole we've been doing for months.

Most forums get around this by having paid staff that reviews all new things posted and they hand out user bans constantly. We have volunteers working at their leisure... which means we will never be able to control the spam unfortunately. It is what it is.

Then they will just use USA VPNs and be right back at it in a few hours, and we will have blocked a lot of the global freedom of speech this site is intended for. So I don't see this as being a positive move in the long run, but I appreciate the idea.

Since the USA is the biggest financier of Israel's military, they are playing to US politics to get support. They assume rightwing=support Israel, so creating a left-wing=supports palestine movement might gather some sympathy from those who vote blue and blindly agree with everything they read someone tells them it's a left-issue, and it appeals to their bleeding heart. In reality, all parties in the USA support Israel the same, but play it like there might be a difference, like how you would play good cop/bad cop.

Thing is, it's much more complicated than that. The "Pro Israel" bots will only say things that make them look good, while denying or playing the "whataboutism" card towards anything negative. The Palestine stuff is the same way.

But reddit being reddit, 90% of those comments are probably bot-generated, and that's not even counting the fact most of them are [ removed ].

Nobody can have a real conversation online about the nuance, complication, and the fact they're all both justified, and "war crime-ing (for lack of a better verb)" at the same time

I take 50,000 IUs of D2 once a week. I heard about the vitamin K being needed for the D to be utilized.

Don't bother with probiotics, your body is better at sorting out it's own gut biome.

I had noticed probiotics seem useless, although eating my own lactobacillus ferments seems useful for IBS.

And I know whole food vitamin sources are supposed to be better than junky multis but either the RDAs are full of shit or our food just isn't that nutritious anymore but you can't hit the RDA with whole foods and still consume a reasonable amount of food.

Have you noticed any benefits from vitamin E? I used to take it, at least the one form, but I never noticed a difference.
